For the second one, I’m going to say their debut has to be on computers. I’m going to say characters who are more associated with consoles won’t be allowed, even if most of their games did technically get ported to PC later. I know that’s fairly broad so please ask me if you’re wondering if a character would be eligible or not.

And just so everyone knows, for the first one you have to pick a character who debuted in one of these years:

I will add two characters: Iori and Spamton because of course we need spamton.

With that, I’m closing our current jobs and here are the next ones:

Indie game character

Tower defense character

Same rules as before apply.

I have another question though. So, unless you haven’t seen we’ve already passed 300 characters in so little time. I was really not anticipating so many characters per job and so I wanna ask: do people think we should extend the roster to 10,000 instead of 1000? It’ll be a (n even more) ridiculous amount of characters obviously and could take a bit longer. Would people be okay with this? If so, we’ll have a poll for the future of this thread and how many characters we’ll add.

Submit a character that was planned/considered for an official Smash game but never made it for one reason or another

For the first one, submit at most five characters that are a variation on a character who is in Smash Ultimate. For the second one, at most five characters who were explicitly stated by Sakurai to be considered for smash.

Sorry but I don't think plusle & minun would be eligible given it's unconfirmed that they're the characters the smash brawl files were refering to, and there's still lots of debates if it was supposed to be them.

Anyways, we'll move onto the next jobs now. Otoad64 Otoad64 you can submit a character to replace plusle & minun if you would like since I forgot to tell you about this before.

Here are the prompts for the next jobs:

Submit A Character Who Debuted On A Console With No Representation In Smash

Submit A Character From A Genre Not Represented In Smash

I skipped over the "character closely tied to hardware prompt" due to there already currently being a prompt related to consoles. We'll get back to it next job. For the first prompt, the character must debut on a console that no other character in Smash debuted on as well. It's fine if a spirit or assist trophy debuted on it, though. Characters who debuted on "PC" are not eligible unless it's a specific type of computer like Commodore 64 that no one else debuted on.

Okay so, genres are a very loose thing that often doesn’t have a clear definition… but there are definitely action adventure games represented by characters in smash with things like zelda or metal gear solid. Sorry but lara won’t be eligible
