The only candidates I can see from the Mario spin-offs would be Paper Mario, Fawful, and Geno.

Fawful's pretty damn well-loved, imo.

I’m still struggling to see how King Boo would work even with that moveset that was posted earlier.

Ngl, if it weren't for Smash, Octo Expansion would've been my Game of the Year. Nintendo's best DLC offering yet IMO.

Of course! I haven't played any DQ games, but I still would like to see stuff from it.

i don't think anyone is really underselling the games, nobody is attacking you for liking them, you're just kind of saying nonsense without any real proof? you didn't even know fawful showed up in multiple games, you are very clearly not prepared to argue for the case of his popularity

and nobody is even saying fawful should be in smash bros either, he will never be playable (alongside geno unfortunately), and on my list of mario characters i want in smash he's not even like, number five. i can think of a lot more mario characters that should be in before him

I was joking about you guys underselling it in case "my entire bamk acvount and a banana" didn't make it obvious.

Shi you know I love ya but...you didn't know Fawful appeared in more than one game, not much room to say what M&L is or isn't.
M&L's are all pretty long and bursting with content, them having a decent budge isn't a shocker.

A game being long doesn't necessarily mean high budget because EO games are pretty damn long and with plenty of content

I can at least commend PiT for being one of the few games to bring out the darker parts of the Mario franchise. I dare you to find me any location in another Mario game darker than the Vim Factory/Toadwood Forest.

Before we leave the subject I just wanted the record I’m still interested in seeing Fawful in Smash, he has so much charm and personality and I really think his journey from minion to main antagonist is kind of inspiring, plus I see him having a good amount of moveset potential from his appearances and boss fights in the series. I’m still not convinced there are a ton of Mario characters before him, a few I can see like Paper Mario but not as many some think.

So I had to archive a lot of my favorite games to make room for Smash (like BotW and XC2) but I'm finally getting a bigger SD card so now I can redownload everything on it and finally play games other then Smash that isn't Splatoon, Odyssey, or one of the 50 ****ing indie games I bought when the Switch came out and played each one for 5 minutes

...I'll finish Thumper someday, I swear

sidenote it should be a requirement that everyone must play Night in the Woods at least once it's incredible

I’m basically at about 2.3 Million GSP and not gaining much ground. I’m not sure if that’s average, good, or really good, but I have to say that I think I get better with every match I play, win or lose.

While I would love to see where I stand on a leaderboard, the concept of GSP is truly interesting.

I’ll post a prediction roster at some point, or something like a prediction DLC roster. More like a “please rate or viciously review”.
