Well if having spirits mean they can’t be playable would make him not be dlc. Not saying it does though.

Honestly, if any Mario character were to get in as DLC, it would probably be either King Boo due to Luigi's Mansion 3 and having a cool moveset, or Waluigi if the characters were chosen after the fateful Waluigi KO and deconfirm at E3.

Honestly, if any Mario character were to get in as DLC, it would probably be either King Boo due to Luigi's Mansion 3 and having a cool moveset, or Waluigi if the characters were chosen after the fateful Waluigi KO and deconfirm at E3.

I'm not saying it will happen, at all. But if Sakurai decided to break another fan rule and shut up us Waluigi fans once and for all by making him the last dlc character it'd be hilarious.

Let me say again, I DON'T THINK THIS WILL HAPPEN. It's just a funny hypothetical.

like, can i just say "final fantasy has more installments than etrian odyssey and that is why it shouldn't be in smash" and have that actually be an argument now???

and mario and luigi has the same amount of mainline installments as etrian odyssey anyway

All in 11 years for a series that took 9 years to reach 1.5 mil units sold in its entirety.

Dragon Quest pretty much has to be the second Square Enix series to get in Smash.

i don't think anyone is really underselling the games, nobody is attacking you for liking them, you're just kind of saying nonsense without any real proof? you didn't even know fawful showed up in multiple games, you are very clearly not prepared to argue for the case of his popularity

and nobody is even saying fawful should be in smash bros either, he will never be playable (alongside geno unfortunately), and on my list of mario characters i want in smash he's not even like, number five. i can think of a lot more mario characters that should be in before him

Shi you know I love ya but...you didn't know Fawful appeared in more than one game, not much room to say what M&L is or isn't.
M&L's are all pretty long and bursting with content, them having a decent budge isn't a shocker.

fawful was brought back in partners in time because he was popular, then he was given a much larger role in bowser's inside story because of his popularity. there's a reason why the remakes are skipping over partners in time even though it really needs a remake, its because they were the most popular ones, partly because fawful was in them. hell, the remake of superstar saga gives him more screentime in order to make his appearance in bowser's inside story make more sense, and there will probably end up being more for him in the remake of bowser's inside story as well

Fawful's indisputably popular, but can you back up where you say Fawful was bought back due to his popularity? Wasn't aware.
