Smash Game: Remove one, add another.

I'll start.

Remove:

Add: Dillon

Extra points for controversial.

Remove Mario.
Add Goemon.

Remove Luigi.
Add Ebisumaru

Remove Wario.
Add Sasuke.

Remove Peach.
Add Yae.

That is one of the reasons why I think it will be early November. Wii U was fully set a month in advance. This has been a faster news cycle.
Mainly I think it will be before the 7th because Sakurai hates leaks, and once review copies start going out, it is over for holding the cat in the bag.

If the game's gone gold, review copies have probably already gone out, and in that case, there's still exactly three weeks until the 7th.


I don't think he'll beat the leaks to the punch, no matter how hard he tries.

The announcement of DLC on literally Day 1 is pretty unprecedented. Sakurai understands how to hype people. Let people have a month to enjoy and discuss the game and its characters before you move on to a brand new DLC pick; that's basic marketing. Not even regarding who spoke of it.

Luckily, Smash is not a fighting game, and Smash has shown themselves to have vastly different standards than any fighting game especially in regards to DLC.

I can't recall any fighting game that has ever done the Day 1 DLC announcement thing either.
