Yes and no. He was shown, but not explicitly confirmed to be playable. Lucina was when she was first shown.

That is the point. There aren’t that many interesting characters left out there besides the usually suspects. There is a lot of potential for echos but not a lot for some of the new characters besides a couple.

It's hard for me to be dissapointed by echoes when they're all characters who I never thought stood a chance at getting into tge roster as unique fighters otherwise.

Anyway, my pokemon games of choice are..

B/W/B2/W2 > SM > Everything Else > XY

I really loved ORAS, but I'll admit a lot of that was nostalgia driven. They really improved RB's writing by a lot though, Archie's and Maxie's motives actually almost made sense this time.

XY was dissapointing but it gave me Mega Venusaur so I don't hate it even despite Mega Mewtwo "Why".

But yeah, there is Japanese Nintendo Live tournament that is featuring Mario Power Tennis, ARMS, and Smash Ultimate.

If anyone is interested, it starts on 11/3. I know some people might be interested in more gameplay so there’s that to look forward to.

So... just randomly curious.
What are everyone's overall thoughts on Echo fighters?

I personally really like them, as they do not take up too much development time, but they still make fans happy. Never thought I'd see the day that Daisy and Chrom would get in Smash, but it arrived.

They're an interesting marketing experiment in rebranding changing people's opinions, and they give chances to similar characters who otherwise would never get in but overall there isn't a single echo fighter who couldn't have had their own unique moveset.

Daisy using Toad is still weird to me, and Dark Samus missed out on some unique abilities due to being echo fighters. Hell, Dark Pit could have used the missing KI weaponry that Pit didn't use.

I don't hate the echoes, I just feel their fans got a weird compromise.
