Gen VI was not kind to my Hydreigon.

Sakurai creating a virtual pet has no effect on Smash.

Tamagotchi existing in an entirely unrelated game also has no effect on Smash.

Which means they also have no effect on a Digimon's chances.

So , if Sakurai buys a game or likes a game , it has effect in Smash.

But if he himself Create a Game, it don't have.

Why?

In my mind it has the same power as Kid Icarus.

Aura Sphere = Electro Ball
Force Palm = Plasma Fists
Extreme Speed = Volt Switch
Double Team as a counter cause reasons = Quick Guard as a counter cause reasons

All A moves are kept visually similar as is.

Not that I want Zeraora as an echo. I love how Pokémon has so many reps that don't rely on copying each other.

Disagreed. Pikachu is still the blatant face of the franchise, and casual fans know Pikachu before they know anyone else at all. He's on the merchandise, he's on every cover for the anime, he got his own detective game (for some reason), etc. Even my grandma knows who the hell Pikachu is, but probably can't even name Squirtle.

It's good to not confuse the hardcore fans who spend significant time on Smashboards with the overwhelmingly larger casual audience to which this game needs to appeal.

In my mind it has the same power as Kid Icarus.

Sakurai is not literally chained to Smash and can't do anything else. He is allowed to make other games without the expectation that it must mean something for Smash.

Goku is not more popular than other characters in Drabon Ball, like Vegeta.
But you will never put Vegeta first and not Goku in a game.

Thats the problem.
Agumon is the mascot. He is the Face.
Omegamon is a evolution that Agumon can reach.

Out west that’s debatable. I’m more likely to believe Goku is more popular in Japan than Vegeta though. We don’t have anything to really gauge that currently. Though many of the previous polls had Goku above Vegeta in popularity.

You see, Gen V was definitely underrated to me (and many). I don't think any generation has been downright atrocious at all.

Let's be more precise:
List of Games that Sakurai made/worked:

The only games not represented in Smash here are:

-Meteos and Meteos Disney
-Mushiking

Meteos is a Tetris Game and Mushiking is a Tamagotchi/Virtual Pet game.

-We already have Tetris in Smash as well!

So the only type of representation that Sakurai worked with that we don't have in Smash is Tamagotchi.

-Tamagotchi can be represented by Mametchi or Agumon.

The same way he will not put Meteos in Smash thanks to Tetris being more popular.
He will not put a Bug in Smash , thanks to Tamagotchi being more popular.

I think this have alot of weight.

To each their own. I don't consider Gen V bad, it's just not my favorite. I'm also not huge on Gen II's Dex either aside from Typhlosion, Ampharos, Espeon, and Umbreon.

I honestly don't think Gamefreak would allow unrelated pokemon to be Echoes... (Pichu makes sense, he's the preveloution of Pikachu)

The Axew line was my favorite from Gen 5. They’re just so damn good, and Haxorus is just bad ass. Easily one my favorite Pokémon of all time.
