Yeah, I'm not trusting this either, even though I wish this were true.

Likely: October Direct seems likely, as it make sense for the Smash Directs to be bi-monthly. I don't think all characters have to be released before the bundle, because as far as I know the bundle doesn't have placeholder character artwork on it.
Unlikely: Echoes having stages, returning stages (ending on Fountain of Dreams makes it likely that's it for the base game), mentioning DLC without any sort of information. Last time, a character like Mewtwo was announced. Could be just a "hey, it's coming!", but probably not.

Also, we should note the bias: a person with a Sonic avatar saying one of the few new stages being Sonic related, despite all previous ones returning and no unique character associated. I wish Shadow was getting a stage. Doubt it, though.

Of course, I wish this were all true.

If there was a meh option, I would vote in the poll. Pig vomit's too aggressive. It's just nothing in the Direct appealed to me personally, unlike the Spring 2018 and Fall 2017 Directs.

I vote pig vomit because no Fire Emblem and I'm dying to see more about it. I know Nintendo likes to be quiet now, but last main game was super controversial and it's the series return to console after more than a decade, yet there's only been a trailer in almost two years. The silence is killing me.

Impa being an echo of Sheik at all, even if she didn’t get in over someone else is incredibly lame. Sheik has the most bland white bread ass move set. I hate that everyone thinks she should be that. Why y’all gotta do her like that?

Not even mad, since I'm not that keen on Skull Kid and would be satisfied with a character that's at least frequent enough without being a Triforce member.

I would like Hyrule Warriors + Skyward Sword Impa as a unique character honestly.

I’d rather wait and buy her as DLC if it means I’ll get a unique Impa with stuff like shiekah, her big sword, and naginata.

But if she’s an echo, oh well, I’ll still be happy. I just hope they’ll change up her moveset afterward.

Personally, the idea of Skull Kid interests me as he could potentially not only use his fairies and Majora power but also use Skull Kid puppets like in TP as well as a ocarina to play various melodies found in OoT for elemental/magical attacks like Saria’s Song (releases a strong draft of wind and leaves with knockback) Song of Storms (summons a thunderbolt), Bolero of Fire (Performs a Fire attack), Scarecrow’s Song (summons the scarecrow which can be used as to attack), Song of Soaring (teleportation ability), and Elegy of Empitness (summon a statue which blocks attacks).

This is 100% me. I'm not a huge fan of Incineroar as a Pokemon or a Smash rep, but getting a chair move? That would make me do a complete 180 on the big fella.

While im indifferent to Isabelle/ Animal Crossing on a whole I'm happy for those who wanted her and the game itself.
With that said, I indeed voted pig vomit not because of Isabelle, I voted it because of that online feature roll-out.

Same here. Love the series, but I honestly don't care to see any new additions.
Even as someone who loves Greninja for the mainline games, I was kinda just apathetic when I saw him revealed for Smash 4.
And I just largely don't care about any new Pokémon for the roster in general.
I mean we just got and back, and I'm cool with just that.
I just rather not see a new Pokémon this time around.

Like for Smash?
When I was younger, I always wished that Larvitar or Tyranitar would be able to get into Smash as I'd like to see a character as they could possibly do stage control with stealth rocks and show off a couple dark type moves and effects.
I still think Larvitar would be interesting in the idea to have a small heavyweight character on the roster alone.
Despite all of that, I still could literally care less to see a new Pokémon.
I think we're fine for the base roster.

God him and the Yiga were such a disappointment. Built up so much, they seemed SO damn interesting, and then... nothing really happens with them.

In regards to Smash, I want to see someone come up with a unique Impa moveset that doesn't use Hyrule Warriors' design. They basically made her from scratch from that game, and they did a damn good job of it. I can't see a unique moveset for her being better than that.
