I'm sorry for some of my comments earlier. I really am not trying to impose a "You will love Yoshi" perspective onto anyone, but I'm sorry if I come across that way. I was only trying to address arguments that seem like it doesn't give Yoshi and his series enough credit and/or hold him back.

People worry about which series characters are from way, way more than Sakurai does. Neither Yoshi nor Wario are placed on the CSS where they would actually go if they were considered strictly as reps of one sub-series.

I think people take everything concerning character selection/categorization/qualifications/etc. more seriously than Sakurai does.

Only his trophy model had the heart, the boss version removed it, so likely not

Honestly, if we were to get a new Yoshi newcomer I think I'd prefer Yarn Yoshi with an original moveset to anyone else.

When he runs he could get little wheels, his up special could be Umbrella Yoshi, side special Motorbike Yoshi, down special hammer ground pound, standard special same as standard Yoshi.

There's so much potential there.

No they actually removed it's model. If you hack the camera and zoom in on the trophy model you can see it but not during the boss fights as there's no heart in the model

As much as I liked having the 3ds version(Didn't own a WiiU myself), I felt bad that is basically held back the game.

The 3ds version is why Pokemon Trainer and Ice Climbers got cut in the first place.

I think Sandbag has become my most wanted character, even beating out King K. Rool.

Yeah, this is what happened.
Hyper Sports R was originally shown today though and he knew the name a few days ago so I guess he knows something? But he didn't know when simon/castlevania stuff would be announced.

Peach Blossom isn’t a long animation, though, you use it, there’s a short dance, it puts a sleep effect on everyone and spawns some peaches, then it’s over. But yeah, it could go either way.

This. He backpedaled hard. He was super confident it was Castlevania and then said it wasn't and just the sports game.
