Okay, here's my theory.

Rollin is a song that's the 4th worst song of all time, according to VH1. (http://www.blender.com/guide/articles.aspx?id=819)

Jigglypuff is the 4th worst character, according to the tier list.

Any relation?

and jiggs has the roll out.

Plus, Fox, much like this guy, can't dance. So there's another point towards Fox. And Rollin' could refer to the Landmaster.


See what I mean? All these small things are just grasping at straws. I'm sure one of these answers is right based solely on the fact that there's so few characters left, but I'd like to solve why it's right.

It is either Jigglypuff or Olimar.

The emphasis on rolling seems to fit Jigglypuff. However if it is went to be obscure than Olimar is probably it.

The video mentions "back up" which Olimar is quite effective at forcing the opponent to do. The video also mentions 1,2,3 and then *something* to the 6. Olimar just happens to start with 3 pikmin. Meanwhile he can hold a maximum of 6. The video skips over 4 and 5. Then numbers it mentions relate to Olimar in some way.

Also the video makes it sound like Rollin' is a good thing. It is on wifi, but not in an actual match. So I still think it is Olimar. For this same reason it cannot be Yoshi. Yoshi's egg roll is hardly a good move.

Also it better be Olimar since I watched all 4 minutes of that **** song just to see what obscure things fit.

The lyric is one two three time zoom to the six and he pulls the pikmin out quickly and after 3 times he's (up) to six. I'm going with Olimar.

Tell me whatcha gonna do now? At first I had quite a bit of trouble approaching Olimar too. Lol. Sonic johns.

The only characters that have ten letters in their name are Jigglypuff, Donkey Kong, King Dedede, Meta Knight

D3 and MK have already been done and some people call Donkey Kong: DK therefore Jigglypuff is my guess.

Anyways, updated remaining roster (I know there's one already posted, but mine's...better o_O):

I'm working on a bit of a project for these hints (I came up with it once I saw how many possible characters it can be with this hint) so look out for it soon. It's nothing groundbreaking, but it should help organize our thoughts a bit better...

Also, to those of you saying the right answer to this hint is "obvious" (as in, it's something so simple like "Sonic=Rollzlul" rather than deep), I seriously doubt it. Panda put a lot of work into this hint, so, as someone else had said, it's going to be something that we'll understand as soon as he tells us, or when someone gets an awe-inspring epiphany that people quote for 10 infinity pages (read: infzy). Not as soon as we look at the title of the video.

In this respect, I highly doubt its Sonic or Jiggly.

As for my own speculation...really, all I've got right now is green=Weegee. >_> I'll snoop around in the remaining character's Wikis and games and such, and hopefully I'll find something that connects.

The only thing that I need to ask is...who is that guy dancing in the video? The name, I mean.

The "rollin" could be a reference to his fireballs which roll/ bounce on the ground

@ 2:44 in the song, there are blocks in the background that look like they are out of an old Mario game, like what he would climb up and down. (I realize this could also apply to Luigi)

Also to consider is the line in the song:
"Old school soldiers passing up hot sh**"
Is there any character more old school than Mario??

the "hands up, hands down" could also be a reference to mario's u-tilt or tornado

Haha, I thought of something similar, but there's just too many **** comments to find anything. I tried doing lame searches on the comment page like "luigi" and "panda" (someone actually did say panda, but he was on crack...o_O) but came up with nothing. Though...

I did find that the lead guitarist in the band is Wes. I knew I'd heard that name before, did a search, and yes, it is indeed the main character of a Pokemon game, Pokemon Colluseum to be exact. In the game, Wes rides around in a motorcycle. Additionally, similar to how people were relating Olimar to having 6 Pikmin, Wes (well, all Pokemon trainers) could carry up to a max of 6. So I suppose it could be Pokemon Trainer.

Of course, Wes in that game is not and looks nothing like the PT of Brawl, but I'm just trying to throw things out there that haven't been said before to spark some intellgent thought...

I can tell this is going to be one long, awesome hint guessing week.

It's very simple. Samurai Panda told us to go to a song well known for being bad. It had the word "roll" in it. Then, he told us to got to a point in the song where it repeats the word "rollin'" to a guy dancing. It's clearly a rickroll, if you think about it. The guy was rick rollin' us.

I agree, absolutely But that doesn't help us guess the character If Samulai was just going to rickroll us, it would have been a real Astley rickroll. Unless he just really wants us to keep guessing ludicrous ideas on this "hardest hint ever" when it's actually just intended to be an empty shell.....

but I don't think so. He said he "explains the hint" in the SBR thread. I think there's something to it. I'm working on a crazy new theory... but I think it'll end up just as half-brained as most of the ideas that have been spelled out thus far
