There's one terrible design flaw IMHO.
If you're gonna have Sonic moving fast, the illusion of speed can happen if you have a little bit of time to react to things coming from ahead of you.
But in general, this can lead to frustration, especially if you don't know the level design.
They need to change the camera's focus so you see more ahead of you than you do behind you >:/
