If we did monthlies, would we have to have brawl? I guess turnout would be increased and we could probably get players from brawl to play melee too. but lets face it, brawl is a boring bad game and it only detracts from melee imo. obviously id show up either way, but F brawl. huy i might be going to ran bat 1.5 and i could probably house you for the night before, but we are gonna have to wait till we get closer to that date.

lol double jiggs? Everything about that just sounds awful... watching, playing against, play as... EVERYTHING. You get down to a 2 on 1 and it's tough and you have no balance against counterpicks. Probably fox and puff or maybe double fox

and a typical good combo is a fast char with a good kill move like cfalc, fox, shiek and a floaty char with good recovery like jiggs, peach, maybe marth.

I play D3/MK in brawl, Jiggs in melee (if that even counts, I don't actually understand how she plays at all maybe I'll sit down with Dante so I have some idea what to do)... so naturally Kirby in 64 :]

As far as teaming I know in Brawl a bunch of people want to team so I doubt we would... there's just a line of peeps that I said I'd team with in the future and haven't yet.

I would refuse to team with you until I got better in Melee.

64 is meh I gotta see.

It's important to team with people near your skill level, or its hard to play your best in doubles, and it's hard to get better at it. I have no idea what your level is at any of the games, and it's not worth discussing on the boards ;]

And more importantly, the tournament is at an undisclosed time in the future, but it doesn't seem like it would start until fall quarter so just chills for now.

It looks like the VSA one can only be held on the Saturday before Ranbat 1.5 which will decrease attendance so I told them to postpone it to a later time. Has anyone from SB attended one of these before?

Who is interested in Smash biweeklies / triweeklies (this is different from the VSA one and the one John, Jun, etc. mentioned)? It will have N64, Melee, and Brawl (singles and doubles). It can only happen if there are enough interest with enough attendance on a biweekly / triweekly basis so that the person who is getting the venue doesn't get ripped off. If the one John, Jun, etc. mentioned attracts more entrants then I will just tell the person to cancel it and have everyone go to the John, Junk, etc. one instead. Also indicate what events you would enter and how often you would attend these if it happened.

Id be down for smash 64, and if theres some down time, maybe brawl. i have weekends off, but half of the time i got stuff going on. id probably attend 1 every month if its on a saturday, i dont have anything going on that day, and i can get housing. the best bet is giving me atleast 1 months notice and ill make it.
