Eh, mod status isn't that special.....I just want to be one of the top 10 posters in the site. XD but have at least 2/3rd's of my posts be useful/legit posts.
How many mods are there of some 100,000 or so users?

I found out Candy thinks Snake ***** everyone. Everyone. This includes Olimar.

I want to know how the **** he plays the Olimar matchup if it's so easy. (He said "Especially Olimar")
^This.

Olimar is the bane of my existence.
That Olimar made quite a few mistakes on BF.. along with not camping correctly according to Dabuz:
http://www.smashboards.com/showpost.php?p=7510135&postcount=22

<_<

He also almost won on Halberd but something went on with that. =p
ugh i still havent slept so dont feel like typing much...but the main point is that is so easy to techchase oli....his roll is so slow that you can react to w/e he does and still grab him b4 you can do anything about it....that vid of me vs PS was before i knew how to play oli...dabuz said earlier in a post the a good oli would only get grabbed about twice a game....first off ive fought multiple good olis and ive been able to grab them way more than that...and every grab can lead to a perfect techchase...perfect techchasing is very realistic b/c of how bc oli's roll is

Being the most hated
id like to note that my qouted post was very over exaggerated and this matchup is probably 60-40, and candy, it still doesn't change the fact that landing the grab on an olimar who spaces correctly (something PS doesn't) isn't easy and more often then not you will be punished for it badly, trying to grab olimar at any point in the matchup is a very high risk/ reward, failing is a good 40%-50% on snake or just plain a kill, the point is, grab is not exactly easy enough to land that it makes a huge difference in this match

edit: i watched you vs PS in march 09 just now, he was making A LOT of mistakes that set him up for grabs, he ran into all your kill moves, didn't camp enough, was to jumpy, overall there was just a lot of stuff he did wrong, only thing he really did good was killing your snake

edit # 2: in theory, olimar can keep snake in the air forever with one grab because snake is fast in the air and he is a big target, olimar has enough ground speed grab range to grab snake whenever he lands on the ground, and up air->nair is unavoidable for snake(the nair only comes if the snake spotdodges the upair, he won't be able to avoid the nair) i actually gotta test that out, because if its true then both snake and oli have 1 grab= stock aspects in this match

Oh man, if that's true, that's one scary *** matchup. And I didn't realize how incredibly large olimar's pivot grab was. Man, that's an intense range!

Fatal... another NE snake player. I'm wanna play you one day to see how good / bad may snake is...

Blue names are usually total scrubs ;P
I'm a total scrub :(

Red names are generally knowledgeable about their mains when they main a certain part. You generally don't get to moderate a place unless you know the characters metagame really well and can provide knowledge of the character. :) So following the reds (maybe with a grain of salt, because I'm not saying we're all pro's with our characters...) is generally smart.

LOL I know a character mod personally, and I would say this isn't always true XD (not sayin' who cause he name searches:laugh:)

Anyways, I don't think oli is bad either. I guess I'll finally get around to posting about it as soon as I get back from cali. Just remind me.

Yep lol. Now that I think about it, he does know quite a bit about pit. It's just that he doesn't ever play and so he doesn't come close to any of the good pit mains out there. I guess I have just always expected the mods to be one of the better players with their character XD

Olimar does not have a reaction based thing. If they so much as pause for 1 second, then roll or getup attack it will throw you off.

People who have a reaction tech chase, therefore are possible to 0-death with a tech chase:
King Dedede, Wario, Falco, Fox, Wolf, Sheik, Sonic, Ivysaur, Game and Watch, Link, Toon Link

EDIT:
I forgot whom but I think Kirby was the top...

EDIT 2:
I wish I had my SD card so I was running EX Brawl.... holy **** I just had the sexiest recovery ever against a Marth....

Teched the lip of FD after he had spiked me, into a tech jump. Spiked him back. He up-B'd. I b-reversed a C4, and spiked him again JUST to taunt him. THREE TIMES. (2 aerial taunts + taunting him with a double spike)

Oh god I wish I had that replay....

oli's rolls are easy to react to, I think it's possible if you really memorized the animation for his get up attack, the hitbox isn't out until frame 15...it's certainly something I could never do because my reaction is pretty average/mediocre but I definitely think it's possible for someone to do it.

I think it's only useful if the victim tries to recover instantly where the grenade is.
Like if Falco were to instantly double jump and fire bird.

You should delay the throw depending on who you are facing.

That's how I recover sometimes... lol... you don't need to shieldgrab, that adds (7?) frames to what you want to do, effectively doubling the time it takes to grab.

Also grab release right at edge (where dthrow would allow them to FF escape or something) > fall off edge > second jump nair

I pulled it off 2-3 times yesterday.... I like it

I was just fooling around and did that so I was like why not ask.

I was just hitting Z, so I don't think I was shield grabbing.

And i was just throwing it for the sake of throwing it, you could do a lot more stuff obviously.

lol ppl keep asking me about that vid....and that match happend before i learned the matchup...he made tons of mistakes and so did i......i do think that oli could get grabbed multiiple times per match since PS isnt the only notable oli ive played....i still think that olis bad roll screws him up too much where he gets techchased....i have practiced this imensely just recently and now am extremely confortable doing up and hardly mess up
