Kingdra was on a rampage prior to the Trick, so it hadn't selected a move yet, so it wasn't locked onto anything by the Choice Scarf.

I have a question regarding the Nuzlocke challenge.

Are you forced to use an entire team, or could can you do a run-through with one supertrained Pokemon?

Wait, so the move while it's on rampage doesn't count as a lock in?

**** it, I lost due to that move
I'm not completely sure. That's just the only explanation I could come up with.

If there was a way to enforce using more than one Pokémon, it'd be a rule. But since that's not possible, it's not. You can could do a solo run if you want, but then it's not a Nuzlocke run in spirit.

Ah. I could easily do a Feraligatr-only run in Silver (I've done it so many times, and he never faints).

Are you forced to use the Poke Center once per town or is it an optional rule?

That's an optional rule. Seems pretty cruel, if you ask me.

Pokemon Soulsilver Game Card, shaky components

My DS recently suffered a semi minor drop --maybe 1-1.5 feet-- rightside up (screens facing me), and now I have begun to notice that the cartridge components will rattle on the inside of the plastic casing when shaken; I'm worried that damage could have been procured to my card; is this a legitimate reason for concern?

As long as you can put the games into the DS and they still work, there really isn't an issue.

Use the Q&A thread next time.

Jerm wanted me to ask if missingno was in any of the new games, or if we could hack it so he could be in them

I will keep that in mind for future reference... In regards to your response; you're saying that severe impact to the card would only render the game inoperable if it came to that, not result in individual glitches/oddities?

(BTW, I'm referring to the SoulSilver game card, not the actual DS unit)

The location of the components doesn't matter as long as they're still wired correctly inside the game case. Unless the impact broke a wire (which it didn't, I've dropped my DS on too many occasions and know you can't do TOO much damage with a small fall like that), everything will operate perfectly fine.

Okay, I understand that; but what I'm asking now is, to be short and sweet; if the game boots up, everything's fine? That is to say, a fall will either render the game inoperable or do no damage at all...

Unless you're dropping off a DS cart off a building, it'll work perfectly fine.

Even at that it might still work. DS carts are STURDY, if you can get it to even boot up, heck, if you can even fit it into the DS, a cart will be perfectly fine. I've had my carts go through drops and washing machines on a regular basis, and nothing has happened to a single one yet. The only thing that suffers damage from drops are DSes due to being so bulky and having screens.

The reason why I'm being so adamant right now is that; a little while ago, I tried to connect to wifi through the Battle Tower (if memeory serves me, to chekc the leader boards), but when it got to choosing the 'room', the game told me essentially that it wasn't able to find the data and booted me off; even though the data was there and the wifi access point was right next to me.

EDIT: In addition, I was wondering, will exploiting the "Tweaking" glitch result in any permanent damage to my game?

Tweaking glitch is 100% safe. I still remember getting a darkrai from there and pwning everyone :D
Then I learned about cometitive battling, and got pwnd.

Hehe, that sorta reminds me of a couple of years ago. I had my entire team to level 100 and then heard of these competitive battles. I was confident my team could be anybody. Then I found out about the mechanics and realized having 2 Ubers, 1 OU, 2 UUs, and 1 NU would make for a ****ty team that is illegal and would get drove to the ground if I ever entered a tourney. And the fact that 4 out of the 6 of them had ****ty natures and that only 1 pokemon had decent enough IVs while the rest of the team was crap and that all the EVs were wrong XD

Why did the Snorlax Room reopen? I thought it was closed indefinitely.
I think Spire thinks we learned our lesson and I guess he thinks that we've been behaving better since it was closed... or somehting like that. I dunno, but that's what I'd think if I were in Spire's head

The way I saw Spire's comforting post when he reopened the place, it looked as if he'd seen how everyone seemed to be a little less happy in the PC without the Snorlax Room. I'm not sure whether he still thinks his punishment was justified, but I'd bet he wasn't in a good mood when he issued it. Perhaps Ulti's reasoning made more of an impact that I thought.

Catching Rayquaza

Does anyone have advice on how to catchRayquaza in pokemon emerald? I don't really have a set team, and I don't usually use the format for the competitetive battling stuff, so I'll just list all of my pokemon, their levels, their natures, their stats, and their moves (I don't do EV spread as I don't know how to calculate that.)
You may just tell me to train one of my pokemon to a certain level if you must. I'm currently standing right in front of Rayquaza after three failed attempts. The first six pokemon in my list are the ones that I have with me. I would prefer if you guys could work up a strategy for me with the pokemon that I currently have so that I don't have to go back through the Sky Pillar.

Pokeballs:
Pokeball x 25
Premier Ball x 1
Great Ball x 19
Nest Ball x2
Ultra Ball x6
Master Ball x1

The strategy that I have right now is to lower Rayquaza's defense with screech, while he's asleep (he always uses rest on the first turn) and then proceed to use false swipe. Then he OHKOs me with Outrage. after that, I can' get him because he's too fast. Oddish helps with Sleep Powder, and if he gets hit, then I use Moonlight.

Why don't you just use the Master Ball? It's not like there's anything else of interest to catch, except for maybe Kyogre/Groudon.

If you evolve Lairon to Aggron it's defense should be helpful.

I plan to clone it of course. I fI had planned to use it, then why would I spend 20 minutes just tying all this crap up?

Well, again, Aggron helps with his massive defense. You need more Ultra Balls and Timer Balls. They both help. If you can get a high level Pokemon with Ice Beam, you can SR until the Ice Beam hits enough to lower his health onto the red and to freeze him.

Alternatively, you can train an Electrode, teach it Thunder Wave/Thunder, and paralyze the thing.

Does anyone know how I can tell where latias is in pokemon emerald?
It's a roaming Pokemon, right?

You should be able to find it eventually by walking into tall grass. Once you find it, just go back and forth between routes until it appears in the area you want.

It's 'un-findable' until you initially encounter it. Then it'll be in your Dex so you can search for it.

Do you know which route has the least amount of grass and water? If he went to that route, then it would be easy to catch him.

How much water/grass has nothing to do with it. Best way to catch him is to get a lv 39 Pokemon and use repel, that way only lv 40+ Pokemon can be encountered, and since Latias is lv 40, viola the first pokemon you encounter if Latias is in the area is Latias.

Will somebody help me get Arceus into my pokedex? I really want to be able to trade for one, so if anyone has one, could they help me? If you have an Action Replay, then could you help me by trading one to me?

Why don't you use the Pokeswapping thread for thread for that? I'm sure somewhat with an ARDS can hack an Arceus for you.
