That has got to be the WORST john I've ever heard for research LOL.
And you think that in the other countries where almost noone believed that sun **** people just don't joke as much? you think thats true for all the research done? >_>

tbh you haven't made sense for most of your posts in this thread. i guess that's a generalization. it's okay, most people know what i'm talking about.

I understand kage... like outside of smash a person is just a person right.... and if that person is in africa what difference does it make :)

It doesn't... not for warriors like us...
What? I was saying no matter how good you are if you are an *** then you are. That's it, no need to look further.

Leffen, it's your problem, for me everything is clear and beautiful. I could say everyone doesn't make sense here because if I wouldn't make sense then I wouldn't be really good at this game.

Thank you Based Mimi.
uh, why?
There are TONS of other researches that indicate the same level of ignorance in america, just google it.

and yeah shroudedone, its really sad =/ I know several people who have received a lot of hate from their friends/families just because they are athiests/gay etc.

and kage, wtf!!!!

what you're saying is basically:
its cool that people are starving in africa, people starve in healthy countries too!
when did I ever imply that there is no ignorant people in the rest of the world LOL.
and what the hell do you mean with that last sentence, you make ZERO sense.
Yeah I've had some interesting experiences for being Atheist and gay (practically gave my mom a heart attack because I came out as both an atheist and gay at the same time haha), and I know people who have had really bad situations from being either of those. I'm not sure if it's the majority though.

Also, this thread is hilarious.

Hmm U-smash OoS... I'm trying to imagine some scenarios where it would be really useful but it's hard, just cause I think Fox's is so much more useful, and Falco's shine OoS hits them up too

Can someone link me a video where it's used really well

Oh and unknown I think FalseFalco and Superboom deserve a spot on that picture in your sig

@V3ctor
did you actually stop playing Yoshi? Don't do it, at least keep him as a secondary -_-
Falco, Yoshi, Roy, G&W ftw

@Leffen, i'll buy the trolling then, idk, it just seemed a bit much. I'll just forget about it and talk more about how broken falco is :awesome:

Hmm, thinking about making a random big falco post soon though... not sure about what. Does anyone actually have anything they want to hear about?

shield drop = faster, can be done on the edge of platform, harder to execute consistently

isai drop = need to walk up/space on platform (can't really be done on edge of platform), generally slower, but easier to execute

ruhtraeel: Falco's upsmash OoS can be useful for getting out of pressure as m2k/umbreon mentioned, but it can also be good as an anti approach in certain matchups. For example if you shield vs peach and she thinks she has a free fair on your shield, but isn't spaced out at max fair range you can just upsmash OoS on her approach.

Unknown, I remember you saying why not just reverse uptilt after lasers instead of upsmash. I gotta say I still think there are times upsmash is strictly better, but I'm pretty glad you said that. I tried to reverse uptilt as much as possible after lasers to see where I could fit it in, and I had huge success; appreciate it :).

Dear Dr. Kevin PP:

I took your shine, I'm glad you figured it out; I hope you're enjoying my upair. I expect a 3 stock ransom, you know the place. Don't bring anyone with you.

Love,

Intoxicated falco.

On a more serious note, I think I'll talk either about shield pressure or stage control. Shield pressure is my favorite, but stage control is a concept that people need to work on a LOT; I'm torn between being selfish and selfless.

YOOOOO

I could totally see that working, I didn't figure that out before cause nobody plays Peach in my city

Does u-smash OoS work against FF'ers?

is the earth round?

But yeah, both KK and I are laughing right now.

It's pretty much east coast. The person who drew it used the top 48 vid from pound 4 and sketched it.

Dunno why he titled it "Canada Smash"

I want to expect better of you, but I know not to
I'm just waiting for Mogwai to give me like 5 ban points or whatever the **** it is that he does... i see him lurking

Who do you play beat? I see you in a bunch of threads

@leffen: Ya it never got better than season 1 imo, i was excited when they brought his brother back this season cuz hes a good actor but that only lasted one ep... Do you think hes gonna have sex with his sister?
stop martyring yourself. I'm not out to get you, I'm just here to keep this thread from getting out of hand. It turns out I'm usually lurking it, so this is nothing out of the ordinary, chill the **** out.

Dex and Deb can't turn into something without ruining Dexter's character. They're toying with something and they might develop the characters to make it work in another season, but for them to use this last episode to make it happen as well as tie up all the other loose ends would simply be too much. I feel blueballed by this whole season. Mos Def kept me going for the first half, but this last half has been all build up with dissatisfying conclusions. I love the hell out of the show and am stoked for the finale too, but every time they resolve anything this season it feels so rush and sloppy, ugh, it's just bothering me when I stop to think about the episodes after I watch them.

Man sometimes I wonder if people even play this game anymore or if they just wait on M2k/PP to post about a tactic in order for it to register to them.

M2k makes a post about upsmash OoS and every acts like its some kind of revelation. like, who the **** didn't know that upsmash oos was a good option vs pressure? Same goes for finishing combos with downsmash. M2k posts about it and suddenly everyone is like "hurr i never thought of that"

Leffen and kage are hilarious lmao

speaking from personal experience, at this point in time I just play Melee to press buttons and do goofy ****. i think a lot of other people are the same way where they don't really analyze their options or think critically about whether they should've gone for an extended combo or just said "**** it" and dsmashed. for me, I don't care about efficiency or what the best thing is to do because I just wanna look cool and be able to trash idiots who don't know what advanced techs are when they talk about being the best smash player at parties, but for others, just having someone who does critically think about high level play talking about how they approach their options can be useful, even if it seems obvious after giving it a little thought.

So yea, there's no revelation in advice like "end combos in dsmash" and "usmash OoS," but driving those points home as efficient punishes can actually be useful, even if people are blowing it out of proportion.

i mean Mogwai kinda got it but not quite. im into improving as a player but i have way more that i know i need to improve on than i have the time or energy to get down. so someone giving a tip like 'dsmash to finish combos' gives me an idea that i might not have gotten to because im still working on other things, so its convenient even if i would have figured it out on my own.

Hmm I see both of your points of view mogwai and foxlisk. I'm just under the impression that so much of this stuff is so basic that I'm often surprised when a pro player says "yo, this is a pretty good thing" and its like a big revelatin to a lot of people.

I think a big part of the problem is that most people don't accept advice unless it comes straight from the horses mouth (pp/m2k or a TOP TOP player)
Whenever a tier 2 or lower player tries to give reasonable advice, they always get challenged with "Oh thats not gonna work because your opponent can just do X, Y, Z" and people chalk it up to "oh that wil lnever work on better players"
But a top player can turn around the next day and say the exact same thing and people seem to think its a revelation because if a top player says it it must be true.

I just think its really weird the way the dynamics of discussion work on this forum.
Thats why I've stopped posting about little tricks and neat situational things i've learned (like upsmash oos or dmsash combos) because no one believes anythign unless a pro says it.

edit: this may be coming across as me discrediting m2ks advice. thats not how i mean it to sound. all that stuff is good/useful.

Who wants to talk about tech skill?

:phone:[/siz

Dear pobs,

In no offensive way can a tier 5 torney player give better advice than a tier 1 or 2.

Jpobs, just give the advice you have. The people that are worth teaching will stop and listen, regardless of what skill level the advice comes from. Those that aren't worth it will just ignore it, and it'll be their problem.
