Everybody plays falco. When you're playing ICs, you just playing two worse falcos and you play them just like falco would if he had two of himself on screen and each of them had a controller in their hand and they were both playing 2 other falcos against each other to the death.

Woah i think i teleported into ICG's head for a moment...

IRL he seems like the kind of guy where something happened to him so hes sorta ****ed up, but mostly he just acts out for attention.

Also, he seemed pretty extroverted and wore pichu ears to the tourney lol

Objectively, nothing.

Personally, some people don't like Falco/think he's OP and this gives them more ammo to use in discussions against him, which I disagree with to some extent. I have to finish pushing myself before I dive back into Falco's overall worth as a character though. I'm not sure how well I can speak on a character I haven't finished exploring yet.

falco isn't any more OP than the other top tiers, it's just important to objectively judge that he -may- be the best character by a super ultra slim margin to where it might be negligible or a tie for the top spots.

it's so close, seriously.

PP, are you gonna be playing more of other characters, or are you gonna play all falco in tourney up until genesis?

I think falco is better than fox (on a tier list) because of tech skill barriers of playing fox for an entire tournament as well as for easy combos and spacing to fall back on during pressure situations. But fox is better on a theoretical level, and better in a controlled playing environment (such as with minimal pressure, ideal rest/warm up for the players, ect).

On a semi-related note, I think I am going to be using my secondaries for pools/early matches until i need to use the fox in order to maintain my stamina.

^He also thinks falco is better than fox... >_>

On that note, I don't think that much stamina is required to play fox, honestly. At RoM I played for 2 days straight, smashfests before each day of the tourney, slept about 3 hours each night, and by the time brackets came around I felt *very* technically on point and not drained at all. Purely adrenaline can get you through such situations with fox imo. Fox can also be played in a manner that doesn't require much effort; fox can just laser DD grab and bair and if you're a better player you can be 80% of your opponents that way.

Thats true. I suppose its a style difference, i play more actively with a semi-rushdown and controlling space with nairs and bairs. A laser & dd style like you mentioned would probably have an easier time maintaining consistency.

Also, GIVE ME YOUR HANDS!

The first laser hits Popo's shield on frame 21 of the dthrow animation

Popo is in shield stun for the majority of this time, i noticed two separate 1 frame gaps. This may or may not vary.

After the throw ends popo is at +3 advantage versus falco.

too bad dsmash and dtilt aren't guaranteed but at least you have a big margin to shine before their first possible grab hits you.

Usually the issue with grabbing is that Popo is like off somewhere else and will probably hit you as you're throwing Nana. But it's nice to know what happens when Popo remains shielding.

Well technically, falco is vulnerable before the throw for a very long time. Long enough for popo to drop his shield and pick his nose before dsmashing.

so falco can shinegrab and be completely safe on shield, and then downthrow shine is also safe?

i think it's time for falco players to start spamming shine or/out of grabs.

i'm telling you guys, dair > shine > shinegrab > throw > shine? no escape lol

I was actually thinking of the shine-grab after dthrow before but didnt want to post it. Thanks umbreon!

It has an escape, but it is really strong and can't be beaten directly.

shine grab is pretty good...but for that ICs stuff can't the other climber hit you before you actually start shooting the one you grabbed? i figured that was the problem in the first place...not what happens after but what happens before the lasers come out
