Well Pikachu and Jigglypuff are def. going to be in there, Mewtwo I hope will make a return, and let's all pray Pichu gets the boot.

I believe about 5 or 6 new Pokemon will be in Brawl. We'll have to wait and see.

Why should any of the old pokemon get the boot? There are obviously people out there who would probably like Pichu. There is no need to boot anyone but simply add a greater variety.

Anyway, I believe the reason for the appearance of Pikachu, Jigglypuff, and Mewtwo was simply because Pikachu is pokemon's mascot ofcourse, Jigglypuff had a huge role in the show as well, and Mewtwo is supposedly the 'Ultimate pokemon'. Pichu was simply put in there because it it pikachu's counter and his pre-evolved form.

And I believe they should pick new pokemon for nearly the same reasons that they picked for the current ones. Despite the fact that I wouldn't mind seeing Zangoose in there. I don't know the story of Lucario but depending on his role and status as a pokemon they should decide whether or not to place him.

I'm sorry, I don't like to put characters down just because I don't like them, but Pichu shouldn't be in Smash.

If Pichu is the evolution stage before Pikachu, then shouldn't he be less powerful? His headbutt is way too powerful for such a tiny guy!

Oh, and that whole 'dealing damage to myself' thing really worked out well. :psycho:

Just because you don't use him dosen't mean others don't pichu is great for smash and brawl. He has speed power no defense but crazy evasive, all and all he is to good.
Just as long as Pichu isn't suicidal and has a bit more of a original moveset, it can come back. Otherwise dump it, Pichu is easily the most hated SSBM character by a huge margin!

I am still seeing Blaziken and Lucario as the top candidates.
MasterGary I agree with you. I feel there will be a 3rd gen Pokemon, and a 4th gen Pokemon. Blazekein and Deoxys are easily the most likely 3rd gen Pokemon, and Lucario is the unrivaled most desired 4th gen Pokemon. Wait....wat about 2nd gen Pokemon if Pichu leaves=?

I wonder if there will be a new 2nd gen Pokemon=? Anyways, expect 5 or 6 Pokemon, easily; after all it is Nintendo' second biggest franchise only behind the Mario franchise itself. O, and this is the coolest Pokemon, who should totally be in SSBB, though unlikely, lol! :009: :009: :009: <<< Blastoise would own, but he is unlikely=me

Maybe the headbutt's so strong because he actually charges for about 5 or so seconds, while Pikachu just charges his for about 2... It's not like it matters anyway. Fox is a speed character, while Falco's a power, and Fox's Uair will send someone much farther than Falco's would, and it's not even a special...

And the damage handicap isn't even that bad. There isn't even a special that can efficiently be spammed (Having not read any of the Pichu guides I don't know for sure). It doesn't even take out that much damage.

I personally believe that Blaziken would be the best, because he can integrate physical tilt moves and aerials with firey ranged/special attacks. Also, his smash attacks would be physical but they would burn the opponents (like Roy). Also he looks bipedial and anthropomorphic (like Mewtwo and Pikachu before him/her).

Since i have lucario now,i will say he is not as good as he is cut out to be
Actually Lucario is very good, decent move set and above average stats make it a decent sweeper. Not godly, but saying he's bad is a lie. Statwise Lucario is easily an upper Pokemon (if it had true tiers).

Sorry if they're hard to read, but Lucario is NOT crap.

Do I have to explain again why Blaze has a nil chance of getting in?

At least da gardevoir/lopunny convo has died.
I don't even want to know about this one, lol. Just looked them up and...I thought igglypuff was retarted, lol jk. I couldn't see them in, except maybe gardevoir as a Pokeball Pokemon or something. Still...either as playable characters would be stupid, there are far better Pokemon to choose from (*cough* Blastoise!).

Do I have to explain again why Blaze has a nil chance of getting in?
I wouldn't say nil chance, many characters have minimal chances. He has a decent shot, just not great chances.

Ok, tbh I'm up for the blaziken (pretty much my all time favorite pokemon) but why not bagon? He's pretty much the cutest guy around and he pwns. Why NOT GEODUDE? Ton's of character's have a minimal chance of getting in. But who's to say there gonna lol? I still say BAGON cuz he rocks my socks

Blastoise all the way!!

He's probably my favorite Pokemon. Hydro pump would own as a move in Brawl. :p

Sadly though, I think his chances of making it are slim as well...I'd say Charizard would get a spot before Blastoise did, and Charizard is still a long shot...

For me it came down to Cubone and Sandslash. Imagine the possibilties with Sandslash, digging and then popping up underneath you and hacking away, course that'd be really cheap. So I went with Cubone, because his bone could be extremely versital, I see him as sort of a kirby/young link mix.

I haven't played any Pokemon besides the originals (and red and green, but they're the same as the originals...) so I don't really know who would work in Brawl from any other Pokemon generations.

I would put money down on having 4th generation Pokemon added. With a new game, it only makes sense to add some of the newer, more popular Pokemon. If they're going to add 5 new Pokemon, which I believe they will, they might as well add the ones that people are clamouring over right now.

Zook, Lucario was never a legendary (I don't support him enough to care whether he is playable in Smash or not).

Yeah, I haven't gotten very far because I have been busy with school work and play practice. I probably won't get far until this weekend. So far, I love Piplup, which just evolved to Princlup today. However, I don't see him playable in Smash. A lot of the Pokemon deserves a spot in Brawl...as Pokeball Pokemon. I would especially be happy to see Spiritomb or Darkrai to make some kind of an appearance in a Pokeball. I'll probably be okay with whatever Sakurai decides to put in as playable.

It's just an estimated guess, but seeing as Pokemon is probably Nintendo's second biggest franchise next to Mario and Diamond and Pearl are selling millions of copies around the world right now, I would expect more characters added from Pokemon than from any other franchise, possibly with the exception of Mario.

Plus there are so many to choose from and likely candidates, how could they not add so many?

I believe it's third, and zelda is second, but who's counting.

And I agree that's way to much. If they keep pika, jiis, and m2 that's 8/9 pokemon, which is way to many, unless they have a rediculously large number of characters (like 60 0r something) and even then I doubt it. The absolute most new # of pkmn we'll get is 3.
