^^Yeah, I think that's one of the main reasons why I think they are reducing the number of consoles you can share with, I guess people were abusing it way too much and Sony noticed, I always wanted to but never really cared to do it.
It is laziness then also if something happens I don't have a game sitting that I can download because it isn't from me originally and so and so. Back then I also took an advantage of this.
Just look at the back of the game cover and it will tell you what definition it supports. You can "force" 1080p, but that's just scaling more than resolution.
On the PS3 main menu, you go to Settings, Display Settings, Video Output Settings, HDMI, Custom, and then uncheck everything except 1080p.
IMO, games that say 720p on the back look better in that resolution vs being scaled to 1080p. For example, in Dark Souls, you definitely notice more jagged lines in 1080p vs 720p.
Does anyone here have any idea on how you get the Uncharted 3 split screen to work?
I assume I need to create a new user, and give them a new PSN Account, but will it need to be a sub or master account to be able to access the online pass, or does that not matter because its the same console?
Sonic Generations seems like it's gonna be fun, I've played the Sonic 1 and 2 stage, and after running round for like half an hour looking were the stage I hadn't found was before looking in the book and realising that I need to do all the stages in that 'era', I switched it off XD.
I "platinum'd" Ratchet and Clank All 4 One today. Ima give a small review:
Story: 8/10 The characters made the whole plot. Funny stuff everywhere. It's just like another Pixar film, but not as organized imo. Ideas are easily coming into my head of things they could've done.
Graphics: 8/10 Better than ToD but not as polished as ACiT imo. I love how huge the environments are and characters are very detailed. Mild framerate issues. Costumes are great.
Sound: 9/10 Main Theme is suprisingly nostalgia and hysteric. Voice acting is great. No annoying sounds or glitches.
Gameplay: 8.5/10 CLUSTER CANNON! 2-3 players are best. 4 players are very fun but annoying in puzzles (who does what...). I like the adaptations to the grind rails and swing shots. New weapons are all nicely designed, but the recycles are kinda boring imo. Interface is a mess...patch worthy.
Content: 7/10 9 levels, about 10 hours long total. I feel like I only have 80% of the game like there's some hardcore levels missing like they did with ACiT. They REALLY dropped the ball on this...
Overall: 8/10, 8.5/10 if they give some DLC. They didn't put as much heart into this as their other games, so as a big R&C fan that means a lot to me.

Funny you guys are mentioning resolutions and scaling, I just got myself an Edge with an SLG3000 for scanline goodness, it's great, btw, most games look better in 720p anyway, especially if your display happens to be 720p native like mine is.
Also, MGS HD is god awesome, I just started playing MGS2 for the 1st time and it looks epic.
Batman is a great game. There are a few some what annoying trophies. Nearly done with the trophies involving the story mode then all that is left are the campaign ones.

So without really spoiling much, does Uncharted 3 live up to Uncharted 2 in terms of overall-ness? I traded a few games for it so I'm waiting for it in the mail. That, and with KOFXIII coming out next Tuesday, I'm gonna be anticipating a crap ton of things.
-Graphics are better.
-Melee is better
-Tweaks make the game more cinematic
-A fun ride the whole way through
-MP improved.
Cons:
-MP improved, but still has plenty of weaknesses.
-Ending
-Shooting mechanics
-Not that much of a improvement in comparison to UC1 to UC2.
-Not enough boss battles.

Yeah, I've been looking at gameplay footage, it definetly looks like a nice adventure type of game, especially since you mentioned story mode which always draws my interest to almost any game I haooen to like.l and show interest in ★
The PSN store is back and running, yeah, MGS is so freaking awesome, been playing MGS 2 HD and I must say it's thrilling to play it for the 1st time, especially in HD.
UMvC3 is pretty hardcore as well, so far Phoenix Wright is doing it for me, he's really cool to be honest. :D
Now I'm just gonna wait for Tekken Hybrid on Tuesday, I dunno if I should shell out $20 extra bucks for the limited edition lol..★
I really don't see what was so bad about the ending. I mean, I expected some super lame cliche or Darth Vader style thing, from how much people were complaining, but I thought it was fine. My only complaint is that I swear the game's shorter than Uncharted 2.

Uncharted 2 set the bar really high and Uncharted 3 didn't completely fill the shoes.
I thought Nathan was going to die. He seemed to have this obsession with uncovering the truth of Sir Francis Drake's expedition and it felt as if it would get the better of him. It makes sense that Nathan puts that behind for his friends but he does it in the middle of the game. For me it caused the plot to be less engaging until the last few chapters.
I was worried there'd be some thing about Marlowe being his biological mother, or Sully being his father or something so I was just glad that wasn't in there. I kept expecting Cutter to turn on you though because he kind of gave off that vibe. But aside from that, I think people were just primarily upset that they didn't think there was enough Chloe. And plus that whole tease thing with "Sully's dead!!" was both 'nice that it was just fake' and 'kind of mean' at the same time.
Also, you might want to go back and edit that, since you can do [spoler]text [/spoler] to hide spoilers until they're highlighted. (and yes, I mis-spelled 'spoiler' on purpose, so you could see the formatting)
First of all, not many people care about Chloe. It was evident that
she didn't want to be part of some dangerous adventure again.
I liked Cutter's character, and I know he would have stuck with Drake till the end
if he didn't break his leg.
With that being said, I wish they would have
filled the gap between how Elena knew Cutter, and exactly how Cutter even came into the whole picture.
I also felt like they didn't go deep enough into who Marlowe was, and while I liked Talbot's character (
how often do you see the second man stay LOYAL to the "weak" leader?
), I was a bit disappointed with how Marlowe and he died.
I liked Salim, wish they had given him more screen time like they did with Tenzin from UC2.
Overall, I thought the pacing was meh. Started off real slow, and I thought they didn't do much of a good job with the setting of the game. The cover has the desert. The main menu has the desert. Hell, the whole theme was to find this "Atlantis of the Sands" and all in all, it's only about a quarter of the game. Instead, we got to deal with jungles, London, and a boat (though that was probably one of the best parts of the game.)
And the game itself was pretty formulaic. Not enough new additions or improvements to merit it all the praise people have been giving it. It was neat how you can now jump off buildings and land on opponents. The moment where your leg gets stuck in some broken wood, with Sully helping you out while you shoot at opponents was neat too. So was shooting upwards while climbing. Overall though...that was about it?
Oh sweet. I think uh...I think you get an access code to that with Uncharted 3 as well, right? If so, I'll have to check it out. Could someone give me a summary of well, Starhawk though?
