Man, I have God of War III already but I haven't played it yet, would it be worth it if I get the previous installments?

That UC3 beta's awesome EXCEPT for people being able to spawn on their buddies instead of set spawn points, which means you can be scouting somewhere and then one lucky person gets a bit away from you, and two more people appear so "hey, surprise, you're swarmed by 3 people now!!" gets a wee bit annoying fast.

They can't spawn on their buddy unless they are not in combat. On top of that, it is only on your "buddy", meaning it can be a double edge sword if they suck.

I still hate the blind firing to melee crap. Kal7 broken that way. I'm still stickin to my M4.

93K PSN/SOE accounts accessed through unauthorized logins

http://www.sony.net/SonyInfo/News/Press/201110/11-1012E/index.html

Tokyo, October 12 - Sony Network Entertainment International LLC and Sony Online Entertainment (SOE) have detected a large amount of unauthorized sign-in attempts on PlayStation®Network (PSN), Sony Entertainment Network (SEN) and Sony Online Entertainment (SOE) services. We discovered these attempts and have taken steps to mitigate the activity.

Less than one tenth of one percent of our PSN, SEN and SOE consumers may have been affected. There were approximately 93,000 accounts (PSN/SEN: approximately 60,000 accounts; SOE: approximately 33,000) where the attempts succeeded in verifying those accounts’ valid sign-in IDs and passwords, and we have temporarily locked these accounts. As a preventative measure, we will be sending email notifications to these account holders and will be requiring secure password resets or informing consumers of password reset procedures.

Credit card numbers associated with these accounts are not at risk as a result of these unauthorized attempts. Only a small fraction of these 93,000 accounts showed additional activity prior to being locked. We are continuing to investigate the extent of unauthorized activity on any of these accounts.

These attempts appear to include a large amount of data obtained from one or more compromised lists from other companies, sites or sources. These were unauthorized attempts to verify valid user accounts on our services using very large sets of sign-in IDs and passwords. Between October 7 - 10 US Pacific Daylight Time, we confirmed that these were unauthorized attempts, and took steps to thwart this activity.
Well, at least learned from the PSN hack a few months back. They actually told us about this as soon as it happened, instead of waiting a week.

Man, I'm actually glad that I never give out my actual credit card information on their servers, nor anybody's for that matter, no matter how secure they may claim it is I still will never trust it due to these hackers.

It's funny, I never got any money taken from the PSN hack. But someone hacked my iTunes and spent $86. Never would have thought that Sony was more secure than Apple hahaha

I just go to my home bank and get those cards that you put any amount of money you have into it and can use that over using credit or debit cards. PSN wise I nab their little Store cards and use those.

Yeah, I used my credit card once and then deleted it after use before the hack, but I hear that deleting the info doesn't do anything. Well, so far, I haven't had any problems with my card, so suffice it to say, I'm in the green right now. Ever since the hack, I only use PSN cards I buy from Gamestop/Best Buy/etc..

Yeah, I'm pretty much the same way lol...I just put a certain amount I'm going to be spending and use it immediatly or PSN cards for that matter.

Also, I barely found out that Chain of Olympus and Sparta are on PS3 in HD! O_O

It's like $150, and I could care less about some 12" dragon statue.

But the artbook on the other hand...

Not worth $150 IMO.
It's funny because I want the statue hahaha
Don't get me wrong, I want the book too, but I'll see the statue a hell of a lot more than the art book. Hell, I'll see the map more than the art book! lol

Has the PlayStation 3 Been Cracked Again?

http://kotaku.com/5851968/has-the-playstation-3-been-cracked-again

That next time may already be upon us, with videos and reports surfacing showing a USB "dongle" similar to that used by the infamous PS Jailbreak being plugged into a PS3 and seemingly allowing the user to access a disc-free version of Pro Evolution Soccer 2012.

So, yeah, it looks to be exactly the same kind of device used last time, only this time it gets around the copy protection routines put in place by Sony after the last time.
Oh dear...

Can't you just disable wifi and play your games offline and still be signed into a profile?

Yeah, 720 and ps4 will still be a ways off, imo. It's soon, but not next year. Next year is Wii, so next next year is the new hard core consoles.

So I'm switching Skyrim to PC. Not making that mistake...

I'm thinking of buying a PS3. Is this a good idea, or should I just wait for the new console?
I'd wait, the Wii U is coming out next year and the successor to the PS3/360 are expected to be released in 2013/2014. I'm going to assume that they're going to be 100% BC so you can just re-buy all these great games for cheap.

Where did you hear these "successors" of the PS3 and 360 would have a possible release year? I doubt it's going to be released that soon, announced? Probably, but even then it probably wouldn't be released, just known about.
