EDIT: And I think the only other accident story I have is when I fell down stairs and shoryukened through a stained glass window unharmed.

This time I fell on the sidewalk and broke my ankle in two places.

Moral of this story? Be more epic. It prevents injuries.

So I went in and got my final cast today. The orthopedic specialist took a second look at my ankle. The first fracture (inside ankle) was an avulsion fracture, which basically means a chunk of bone tore away from the anchor bone or ligament. Overall it's not that serious of an injury and heals quickly. The second fracture (outside ankle) is. . . well, actually it's an undiagnosed fracture from a while ago. Apparently I'm so bad*** I didn't even know my ankle was fractured at the time. Regardless of how it happened it has long since healed. Finally, my ankle is also sprained.

So what does this mean?

It means I get my cast off in 2 weeks. I'll need to baby my ankle for a while afterward, but it's not the 6 week+ recovery time that was initially suggested.

EXCELLENT NEWS!

Yep. It still hurts though, and I won't be able to commit to any physical activity for a while. . . which really, really sucks. I want to run :(

Alcohol is a drug and arguably the absolute worst considering all the related deaths yearly far out-number that of [insert drug] related deaths.
