I'm gonna pretend I thought he was from Elbaf, so I don't have to kill myself.

I thought Saul was the same race as the Elbaf giants too :/

and yeah, San Juan Wolf is just big for no ****ing reason. It seems that he's one of a kind, but I don't know how that's supposed to be possible.

Btw this chapter is kind of funny for me to read because the Shichibukai are called "Havenes Syv Samuraier" ("The Seven Samurai of the Sea") in the Danish translation, and they're commonly referred to as just samurai. I never minded this translation even though it's inaccurate, but the Danish publisher is gonna have problems with these chapters :bee:

I'm just gonna assume that the crew got shrunk somehow, and the person who did it for the reasons kids could have toys to play with.

Or it could be Vega Punk is trying to make giants and they are a first batch.

Lot of possibilities. I just want to see Law post time skip (I know his design has already been revealed) but surely he'll shed some light on what has gone on in the world since the jump.

Just started reading this ^_^

biggest non-mistake of your Japanese media experience

but goddamn Oda's gonna die before he finishes. I kind of want him to just go super crackhead mode and begin releasing 2 or 3 chapters a week

I know... it's just the first issue was 15 years ago, and we all know Japan is not unfamiliar with natural disaters :/
I might be mildly obsessive to be concerned about it but whatevs

haha well, i mean one piece is so long, i've thought about that too
but he really is of a ripe age still, and i believe the places where the jump mangaka create their manga are pretty safe, as they have been for many years.

besides, japan is godlike at being prepared for natural disasters anyway

i know the sendai tsunami was extremely devastating, but the japanese were able to prevent SOOOO many deaths and injuries because their earthquake and tsunami preparations are amazing

yeah, it's good to have the ending in mind when writing a story. you can't just go in blind, these things gotta be well planned out

there is much more freedom to just go wild in the middle of the story. that's what oda does, and i think that is one of the main themes of one piece.

dude <_<

jk rowling is freaking amazing.

it's kinda what impresses me most when I read OP, when you come across something major that was alluded to 300 chapters prior. That's forethought

haha, well it's more the fact that he has so many storylines going on that he doesn't forget about. he intertwines them well, and has a ton of completely random stuff in between

for example, vegapunk and doflamingo storylines are mentioned so few times but it's clear that they are major elements in the story. blackbeard hardly appears but it is clear that he is one of the most powerful villains along with akainu.

i think the reason for this is that the main focus of the story is the strawhats' journey toward one piece, and everyone else is just people who get in their way.
