What, praytell, is the Nightmare and what does it look like? If it looks anything like Nightmare from Soul Calibur then maybe that should be it. Maybe Meta Knight could BE Nightmare! OMFG NIGHTMARE FTW!

The nightmare is the final boss on Kirby's Adventure (which was Meta's first game) But I can't find an image.

Oh, ****, they should make Captain Falcon into Chuck Norris for his Final Smash. Every move becomes a roundhouse kick and it's an auto KO. Plus he can kill invincible characters and can fly infinitely.

I was thinking about this and I can't come up with an answer:

Was it Meta Knight's Nightmare? Or was Nightmare it's own thing? From what I hear, Meta Knight isn't such a bad guy, in fact I hear he's loyal to Dreamland like Kirby, so I can't imagine him attacking it with a "Nightmare".
A gender isn't a thing of opinion. Gender is final, either one or the other. (Well... that's not always true... but I think it's safe to assume that Shiek is NOT a hermaphrodite!) Zelda is a girl. Zelda is Shiek. Shiek is a girl.
Shiek = Zelda = Girl
There's no boy in that equation. You work from one side to the other and don't pick up anything along the way.

Can we please get off the whole issue of Sheik's gender. Seriously, one of the reasons i don't care if this character goes is because of the gender ambiguity that surrounds it.

Sega's androgynous Jester? Last time I checked there weren't any heated arguements about his gender like there are for Sheik (or people just don't care in general), so I don't see the problem. There are however better 3rd party characters IMO.

I believe NiGHTS would be an interesting and a good character. Definitely getting the game for Wii.

Well I'm sure there are definitely heated gender debates about NiGHTS somewhere, but on Smashboards we only discuss Shiek because... well... she's our genderly ambiguous Smasher! But anywho, if you take Shiek and not like her because of her androgynous features (I'd call them "masculinely feminine") then you'd need to disregard NiGHTS as a character as well.
I'm not going to lie, I don't think that's where I was going with that question and I don't think I set you up for a burn like I intended, but I did post that a while ago and it's been a long day I totally forgot what I wanted to say.
And as for NiGHTS not being battle ready... oh, he/she's totally battle ready, just maybe not for CQC games like Smash. I say give the SEGA slot to Sonic. He definitely deserves it, and he's definitely a guy so no one has to argue.

And NiGHTS was about some dude giving people nightmares and these two kids go to fight him in their dreams and they meet one of the bad guy's traitor lackeys and the 3 of them team up to fight him... (I think... I've never played the game myself, but that's what I collected from the "NiGHTS for Brawl" thread.)

Covered by what? It's not like he wears a shirt or pants (or a kilt/possible-skirt for that matter) to cover anything up.

Plus he portrays the male gender in ever show he's ever been in, is refered to as 'he', is always voiced by male actors in a male tone, and SEGA even refers to Sonic as a 'he'. And to quote a famous saying "A mother always knows."

Why the Bumper and not the Flipper? The do basically the same thing.

That is true, but even after Melee, Roy still wasn't very popular. Marth is popular (and cheap) so I would choose Marth over Roy. Even though I thought that Marth was a girl when I first saw him.

This is might seem true on an amateur level of gameplay, but when you look at a pro Marth and a pro Roy, you can clearly see that Roy is faster and that Marth hits harder.

i'd definitely like all the non-clones to stay, but if some have to be cut, i'd choose mewtwo and game+watch. even though g+w is original, i don't think he should be in the next game (just a one-time guest).
pichu, young link, and doct. mario should definitely be cut from the game, falco maybe.
ganondorf should stay. i don't really care for roy, but i'm sure he has his fans.

The tier list says differently. Plus, and good Marth player knows how to space tippers which hit harder and have a much more dangerous trajectory [for best proof see: Marth's counter] than Roys. Roy is pretty much worse in every way.

It's not the fact that Sheik is androgynous that I dislike her, it's the fact that people et really worked up about it and I honestly can't see why. It's just such a sensitive subject amongst some people that if you refer to Sheik by the other pronoun and people jump on it and a debate ensues for pages. It's not a reason why I think Sheik should be gone, it's just something I'll be glad not to see so often.
As for this discussion of Roy, he has a better chance of staying than Dr.Mario and Pichu, but he's still one of the likelier characters to go IMO.
