Lux, how much money do you have, how much money do you need and what are you expecting to do while you're here?

- How much is it going to cost you to get to LA and back
.. Add about $1000 return flights to that

Add about another $1000 spending money if you expect to only eat, extremely rare sight seeing/touristing, basic transport
double that if you want to actually experience a bit of Australia.
Triple that if you actually want to have something you can REALLY talk about when you get home other than how cool ea's goat/ted's goatee/my woolly-mammoth amount of hair is.

So far I have scheduled:

- a hug and possibly Ice Cream with Leisha
- going to the lab with EA
- Finding Nemo

I in earnest want to go (and have about $1150 US saved to go somewhere far from here)

Yeah the australian dollar is stronger than americans atm, so the conversions may suck ***. I've been taking advantage of it though since everything I want to buy I need to import .

Domestic flights are reasonably priced around here for reasonably 'late' bookings, I would advise you check other things out around the country (at least some major cities).

I think what shaya is trying to say is if hes coming to australia, hes best to make the most of it instead of just for videogames or something.

in that case just try to bring as much money as you can, and depending on how much you have, plan your trip.
you cant expect to do a lot if you dont have much funds, but if you'd like to have a lot of fun then theres no point in being stingy.

you will need more than $1k for the lax-syd return leg of the journey, a quick search tells me that will be more like $1.5k
