Yeah you do have a point. What I mainly meant by it is another wollongong tournament will kill my brother. :/

If you want shaya to host a tournament then you have to think of things from his perspective first. He has hosted countless tournaments for the anomalous, incongruent rabble of spoilt children that is NSW smash for eons and has received nothing for it. Quite the opposite, he has been abused and ignored for his efforts. It is completely understandable that he has become somewhat recalcitrant and jaded.
Truth is, if you want him to host a tournament you have to work with him, not against him. Help him with planning, always bring equipment, actually come, dont complain, see if you can help and above all during the tournament listen to what he says when he says it. If you have a bracket match to play, dont sit there and play friendlies or go somewhere that people cant find you. In general think what would make his work easier.
And afterwards do something nice like shout his dinner at sizzler or something to say thanks......

Being my age I'm not quite sure how to do a lot of that, but he's definitely a hero in my eyes. He hosted my first tournament and it was an amazing experience, that kept me coming back for more. In these tournaments the days get wrapped in a hazy, dreamy fog that makes me smile when I remember them. If there is something you want me to do, name it. I can't promise i'll do it, but if it's within reason i can try.
