Android / iOS3ds for best portable system ATM?

The 3ds game library is looking really good.
Quality > quantity.Android / iOS
This is true, sadly.Money > Quality > Quantity.
World of Goo, Plants vs Zombies, Minecraft, Dungeon Defenders, Infinity Blade, all of which cost a fraction of most 3DS games. Not to mention emulators.Quality > quantity.
It's weird, but I've been playing the 3DS version for a while now, and comparing it to the console version, I think I like the gameplay of the 3DS version better. The multiplayer is also a nice feature, but it does have it's annoyances as well.I still need to pick up Sonic Generations & Starfox. Probably going to get RE too. Awaiting MGS and KI. TAKE MY MONEY NINTENDO.
You judge a console by how bad its worst titles are? Do you compare the PS3 and 360 by judging how often PS3's servers get hacked and how often Microsoft revises Live to make it unreasonably difficult to cancel subscriptions? Or do you compare the PS3's and 360's best games? However, there are too many games on phones that lack the quality of console titles. Not to mention that consoles typically get the bigger games.
Never said anything about judging the worst titles. My main point was more focused on the price differences. However, in regards to games, the ratio of good to bad games on phones are pretty terrible. It takes forever for something "good" to come out on it. Which annoys the crap out of me.You judge a console by how bad its worst titles are? Which one sounds less stupid?
It's because it's true. Coming from the person who's #1 on the world leader boards for the mp on this game, I can tell you full well all people ever want to pick is either Modern Green Hill, Classic Green Hill, or the first two special stages for the zones which only ever boil down to who can press the boost button first upon touching the orbs to win the rest of the match. The random purple vortex things which DIMPS randomly placed inside the mp is also stupid because first off it requires me to technically learn an entire new level because of how inconveniently placed the hazards are. Second off there shouldn't need to be vortexes there in the first place because ive lost to people with less skill than me simply because I got stuck in a vortex on a crucial part. And third off, they place those things in the most inconvenient spots to place those things ever. The first two that come to mind are vortexes placed literally right on top of the final checkpoint for Modern Tropical Resort and on the checkpoint for the final underwater section of Classic Water Palace. If you want to get those checkpoints, you're going to have to get stuck on the vortexes before you do and possibly lose. As an added bonus sometimes if two players get stuck on the same vortex, the vortex disappears for both of them when one player breaks through. I'm pretty sure this is a glitch because it's sure as hell not fair I got stuck on it earlier than the person and waste like 3 seconds getting out of it while the other person gets stuck in just before I get unstuck and only suffers like half a second before I release the both of us thanks to this glitch. It isn't getting removed from the eShop, it just won't be free anymore after that date.
@Try The console version was great, so I'm glad you enjoy the 3DS one more, makes me want it NAO. What's annoying with the multi? I think I recall someone saying people only pick Green Hill Zone or something

^touchscreen only controls suck
Lolwut. Plants vs Zombies is available for the 3DS via the e-shop. Minecraft is a *******ization of the desktop version and is not worthy of use. Infinity Blade is as much of a game as the games you find on older DVDs where you control your path with the arrow buttons can be considered real games.World of Goo, Plants vs Zombies, Minecraft, Dungeon Defenders, Infinity Blade, all of which cost a fraction of most 3DS games. Not to mention emulators.
Same here. Those hazards are annoying as heck, they really weren't even needed to begin with.Multiplayer on Sonic Generations has like halved framerate and these weird randomly placed hazards (which, thankfully, are placed symmetrically, so both players are equally shafted by them, but it's still stupid).
In my experience, I've played on Water Palace, Mushroom Hill, Green Hill, and Radical Highway when trying out multiplayer, so I don't think variety of stage selections is an issue. I managed to win my pick on Emerald Coast once, too.
In his defense, Plants vs. Zombies is $7.99 in the eShop and $2.99 on the iTunes store, going by U.S. prices.Lolwut. Plants vs Zombies is available for the 3DS via the e-shop.
Good point on that. I knew it was sorta expensive on the eShop, but I wasn't sure how much is was on the app store so I didn't bring up price. In his defense, Plants vs. Zombies is $7.99 in the eShop and $2.99 on the iTunes store, going by U.S. prices.
The same way you do so on Wii.How do you add money to the eshop thingy...
I've never done that before
Good stuff, Nintendo!Nintendo cites previous data from Media Create that put GBA sales at 5 million after 58 weeks, and DS sales at that level after 56. With the 3DS hitting five million in Japan after 51, it's now hit that milestone more quickly than any other game platform.
Mario Kart 7, Super Mario 3D Land etc.I wonder if they have a chart or something out there that shows the reason for growth of sells. Like example of a specific game(s) that causes the increase in sold consoles. If they did I'm curious as to what is that spark.
like f8al said, things really started picking up once the price dropped and then there was a big push in the weeks that Mario 3D and Mario Kart came out.I wonder if they have a chart or something out there that shows the reason for growth of sells. Like example of a specific game(s) that causes the increase in sold consoles. If they did I'm curious as to what is that spark.
