you got three possibilities if both 5ch and voice theory are correct:
1. KOS-MOS with differently voiced T-elos alt
2. Crash with Coco alt
3. Reimu with Sanae/some other Touhou character alt (one max, cause Kossy and Crash will for sure be voiced) I defaulted to Sanae cause she's pretty much the Luigi to Reimu's Mario from what the games and fandom portray

5ch leak just says Sephiroth (got him), KOS-MOS, Reimu & Crash

Voice theory was founded after Steve and his alts were discovered to be mute. Four remaining characters in this pass but 5 voice folders, implying a different voiced alt. Sephiroth takes up one folder so... you can see where I'm going with this

Nah, since the most recent Touhou fighter had a tag-team mechanic it's possible that you could get another Touhou character alongside Reimu (Marisa would certainly be the likeliest in my book, as she's the other protagonist of the series, but technically it could be anyone).

I don't know chief, when the DLC started some people were afraid that we were going to get nothing but shill picks from Nintendo. But.....we got characters that had little to no appearances in Nintendo consoles like Joker and Sephiroth, characters that won't get new installments like Banjo, and characters that aren't that big or requested like Terry. KOS-MOS doesn't seem that farfetched when you put all these things together eh?

But the main thing I think you're overlooking is that...all of those characters/series are actually popular lol. Unlike Xenosaga.

The "smallest" third party character thus far is probably Terry. And he's still the mascot of an entire historical game company that had an entire line of game consoles and arcade machines.

Terry is really only even "obscure" in the US, SNK was a much bigger deal in Japan and Latino countries.

also to add to this remember how in Sephiroth's trailer once he killed Galeem, their light orb lost its light and turned black

it would be ridiculously fitting if the Very Hard symbol was just a black dot

PC-98 wouldn't have different voicelines, though, as it's still Reimu, so that wouldn't make sense. It'd have to be another character popping along with Reimu Perfect Possession-style like in AoCF.

KOS-MOS is popular, you don't even have to be a Xeno fan to realize this. She has long since eclipsed her own home series like Morrigan did for Darkstalkers. You don't get referenced in both SoulCalibur and Tales Of unless you're hot ****. You don't get referenced in games even a decade after your series ended unless you're popular. Hell, even the notion that Xenosaga didn't sell well is misunderstood since the first game sold over a million copies.

No one here is even saying she's super likely or anything like that, but yet here you all are downplaying her chances and making excuses for why the characters that made it in count and she doesn't. If Terry didn't already make it in you would be singing different tunes regarding him.

Banjo only shook the Earth in the West though. And Hero caused negative hype outside Japan at first because "another animu swordsman nuuuuuuuuuuu"

And "smaller third-party rep" isn't exactly revolutionary. Not everything has to be a mindblowing Internet-breaker.

The funniest part about "leaks" from these places is that 99.99% are fake, but at the same time, there always are real leaks on 4chan, because it's a great place for people to share information with complete confidence in their anonymity. It's just that you can never sift the insiders from the avalanche of trash until after the fact.

Aside from looking very mean and being a strong opponent, there's not much that makes him any more of a "villain" than Pikachu, Jigglypuff, or any of the other Wild Pokémon that you can catch.

I mean, he destroyed the lab that created him and possibly killed everyone there.

Of course, they were awful, so you could say they deserved it.

I just feel like Xenosaga isn't a historically significant series. It's just some old games that were declared to be failures by its own creator, and as I said before, KOS-MOS isn't even really a big fan request like Banjo or even Bayonetta were.

I think Sakurai/Nintendo have mostly done a bang up job at including historical/legacy third party guests, the ones that have at least one game considered one of the best of all time, and I'd just think Xenosaga would stick out like a sorethumb for that reason. I always felt the same way with Travis from No More Heroes.
