Eddie Vedder from Pearl Jam will perform at the upcoming Game Awards. Just for that it will be worth watching.

Didn’t y’all make this joke already
Well, yes... but I never was able to do the joke myself so I guess I just wanted to make the classic joke haha

So if we do get a character at the Game Awards, Do you think Sakurai and Nintendo will retweet it? Got to make sure people are willing to tune in after all.

Did either party retweet the 2018 reveal hint?

Not Sure, Though to be fair Smash was coming out on the same day, So there probably was more expectation for Smash to show up in some form, even as just a mention with no DLC announcement

This year, since the game is 2 years old and not nominated, well People won't automatically assume it be there

It was at least more relevant to game announcements than the Muppets. Green Day was promoting their Beat Saber DLC, the Muppets were...just there.
The Muppets don't need a reason in particular.

We accept them always.

Speaking of which, here's another question for this board, if you had to choose between Target Blast (Angry Birds Mode), or the regular Target Smash from the first three games to bring back as DLC for Ultimate, which would you pick?

Actually let's up it a notch and throw in Board the Platforms as well for a ranking match.

My priority would be:

1. Target Smash
2. Board the Platforms
3. Target Blast
A terrible mode at that. Break the Targets/Target Smash >>>>>>>>>>> Target Blast, in my opinion. Feel free to disagree though, I’m not the opinion police.
As bad as it was, I at least understood where the devs were coming from with this mode.

The roster was way too big to have individual Target Break levels and the Brawl strategy of having a generic one for all of them would be unfair for some characters cough Little Mac cough, so it was a bit of a necessary evil.

What made it truly terrible imo was that it was the best way to grind for customs, and that **** was painful to do.

Know what? Not that I suddenly support it, but assuming Melee-style Target Test did come back, you think it would save a bit of dev time to copy and paste the ones from Melee? As for new ones, I was thinking they could be for the newcomers from Brawl onwards. Only things is, I think the ones for :ultlittlemac: should be ground based, and :ultryu::ultken: should be a homage to Street Fighter II's bonus stage (the barrel one).

I feel like some would be terribly outdated, but even if they did that and made it work, that's only 25 characters down. They'd still need to do 63 new ones.

and :ultryu::ultken: should be a homage to Street Fighter II's bonus stage (the barrel one).
Now I just want the bonus stage to be the character breaking a Honda (not to be confused with E. Honda :p)

I wonder what the third anniversary’s picture will look like... feels surreal to see Byleth, Min Min, Steve and Alex there already

Man, has it really already been 2 years?

Time flies
It's almost surreal seeing this. I mean people will say Ultimate brought the least amount of newcomer at launch (which is true) but I like taking into account all the returning veterans who didn't make it to Smash 4 or Brawl, it's amazing, plus with all the dlc now which isn't even over yet phew
(Also your pfp is incredible)

Random thought:
Do you think Min Min's delay wasn't just because of Min Min's unique playstyle, but also so the gap between her and Steve wasn't too big? I'd imagine a gap between passes wouldn't be as bad as a gap in the middle of a pass. Still, they explicitly cited Min Min's stretchy arms as a reason as to the delay, so at most Steve would only be partially responsible.
