Congrats, you found the guy who was made to be a one-off villain but became soo popular they rewrote the entire ****ing story to make him uber important and a good guy.
And ruined him in the process. The retcons and out-of-character moments required to turn him into a good guy were laughable. Made worse by the fact that shortly afterwards not one, but two literal unrepentant serial killers became recruitable.

Don't you know, the laws of gacha games?

If they're hot, we totally can forgive them. /s

I can kinda get Nier because she's very clearly unwell due to large amounts of mental abuse, but Lobelia..... yeah lol

Another Fun Thing about Granblue is it's crossovers

It has had one with
-Street Fighter
-Persona
-Sakura Wars
-Samurai Shodown
-Love Live
-Idolm@ster
-Tales of
and a few more

Granblue has a lot of big name crossovers and Smash would not be out of the question especially since it makes a lot of money in the mobile market not as much as Fate/Grand Order but it is in the top 50 highest grossing mobile games. Also Nintendo and Cygames already have a partnership with Dragalia Lost and there are even some Granblue Characters in Dragalia.

A gacha character getting in would both simultaneously be hilarious and terrifying for a multitude of reasons.

I won't lie, out of morbid curiosity, I wonder how folks would take to Dragalia Lost being the next IP Nintendo decides to randomly resurrect in their marketing.
Europeans gonna be all "Literally who" and for once it's justified

I think if we don't get a Spirit event for Dragalia Lost's 2nd Anniversary, I'd be on the lookout for a Mii Costume or a Playable character

Rebranding on the echoes worked very well for me. Just making them a different class of character makes all the difference. And since we saw with Ken that 'Echo' can essentially be a semi echo (not sure where the line is between Ken and Dr Mario, as an example)...

My list, as far as I recall offhand:
  • Ms Pacman (Pac Man, perhaps with a Peach skeletal animation)
  • Dixie (Diddy + Donkey Kong + new throws/flight mechanic also used for...)
  • Tails (Sonic + that mechanic)
  • Impa (Sheik + A new move for cloning, and maybe even a Greninja move)
  • Octoling (Inkling)
  • Tetra (T Link + Zelda)

Not yet in the game
- Sub Zero (for Scorpion)

Odd category:
- ALPH (Olimar.... with Rock Pikmin, and maybe even the old recovery)

Also price wise....
I'd guess they would sell a few at a time (either two or three) of characters who appeal to vastly different markets. And it would be $4.50

Alright, that's cool. I disagree with some of the choices like Ms. Pac-Man and Tails, but to each their own.

This one on the other hand, I highly disagree with. Outside of basic functions such as uppercuts and sweeps (and the fact that they're ninjas), the two don't have much, if anything, in common. (+From what I've seen anyway...)

Maybe, but I think a spirit event is the most likely of these.

Dragalia Lost is one of the weirdest games Nintendo has made in recent years when you consider the following.

Co-owned by Cygames

No representation in Smash what so ever

New IP, but was made for mobile devices when the pitch for Nintendo on mobile was to attract casuals to their hardware by making mobile verisons of their most popular IP's.

Thing also makes more money then Mario Run, Animal Crossing Pocket Camp, and Dr. Mario on mobile.

Also for some reason hasn't been released in Europe.

Truly an inspiration to us all.

A force so unstoppable not even the Almighty Authors could resist.

[Insert joke re: "This is how Madden and FIFA wins. Always."]

(Yeah, neither of those are gachas per se, but EA Sports' Ultimate Team and 2K's MyTeam are practically close enough that they would probably be gachas if they were Made in Japan. Oh, Konami literally included a mode named "Gacha-Get" in a Pro Evolution Soccer game, apparently. So yeah.)

Dude you can't just show summer lucio and not show his best art

I'm just waiting for the seemingly inevitable Granblue crossover with Overwatch at this point. :4pacman:

Pretty sure that's due to Europe being more strict on gacha laws isn't it? I know Belgium just banned them outright, and didn't Germany as well?

That last one, IIRC, was because of loot boxes being banned in Belgium, which fared mobile games as well.

Wait Dragalia Lost is Co-Owned by Cygames? I thought Nintendo Owned the I.P in full, but Cygames just helped in actually making the game

Yo so, what if they made a Fire Emblem Warriors 2, which is either a prequel or sequel to Three Houses. What would you prefer in this situation?

Isn’t that because the game came out after Smash
Actually, no. It came out before Smash.

Dragalia Lost: September 27th, 2018
Smash Ultimate: December 7th, 2018

A series of side stories that takes place during the 5-year gap between Part I and Part II.

I always prefer the Crossover games like the original Hyrule Warriors and Fire Emblem Warriors but like Perkilator said one that takes place during the 5 year time skip would be interesting

While the 5 year gap is similar to the war before BotW, BotW doesn't have to deal with multiple potential timelines, not to mention people would be pissed as they were promised Ike and Roy

Ahh, so today is actually the 2nd Anniversary. So next Week would be perfect for Dragalia Lost Spirit event if that's all we're getting

Anytime a non-internal developer creates an IP under Nintendo, they co-own that IP.

Even Monolith co-owns Xenoblade, despite being themselves owned by Nintendo.
Is this the same with Astral Chain, considering Platinum made that one?

Well in Any case, Like with ARMS and Xenoblade Chronicles 2, this is the First time that Dragalia Lost can be Fully Considered for a Playable Character. I do wonder if it would pass the test

It avoided a Spirit event up until now. Astral Chain and Ring Fit both got bodied with events months after their releases. Dragalia Lost as been released for 2 years as of today and no event. Of course that could change in the coming weeks.

Like with ARMS, for a new I.P it has been doing excellent, being the 3rd most popular Nintendo Mobile Title. yes

Anyone want a Fake Leak? This time it is from Reddit

https://www.reddit.com/r/GamingLeaksAndRumours/comments/j0z7gn
At least this "leaker" seems nice : )
When he means, "No One is expecting" I wonder if he pays attention to the common Smash Speculation. in that case, in the hypotehtical scenraio this leak is real, No Crash, No Chief, and No Doomguy. It could be Valve. Sakurai did talk about Half-life 2 way back when. It also could be Scorpion, and that gamefaqs post was onto something

P sure this is less fake leak and more satire
I thought that at first but I'm reasonably certain that the Subreddit is a place for semi serious discussion and stuff like that gets uploaded semi-frequently. But even if it was satire It could still spark some discussion.
