I just feel some are so quick to say the leak means nothing. Why don’t you tell me why the kingdom hearts trailer got taken down and why it is still not up? How about the EU PR manager hinting at smt V? I bet if any of your other characters were in a 4 chan leak like this you’d be really happy. Show respect for some of us.

I'm not gonna pretend a typical 4chan leak is reliable. Again, refer back to my old 5chan example. Every Erdrick backer had a reason to humor it because of it guessing pivotal insider info. That is, until the first sign of doubt was cast. Let it be a lesson here:

Also wouldn't bet on that SMT V hint. At most, it's just a status report to let us know the game isn't dead. The developers for Bayonetta 3 and No More Heroes 3 have done this before, and look at all of the info we've gotten about those two games. None.

I'm not sure if KOS-MOS is Fighter 5. Not only is she owned by Bamco (who were deconfirmed by Vergeben if we still believe him,) she seems to me to be too niche to be shown off at TGA. I know we got Joker there, but at least Persona 5 was nominated for Best Game of the Year and won Best RPG.

We’re back to THIS AGAIN! I thought we were in screw leakers season until the TGAs! Not to mention I thought we threw those 4chan posts under the bus. Honestly, I even don’t think there REALLY IS much of a clear “frontrunner” anymore. If there is, it changes everyday!

What’s the point of even having one anymore especially THEY can’t seem to pinpoint and make up their minds on who the character is themselves! I say let’s just hope and pray that some of our favorite characters does end up being it, even more so if it ends up being one of the so called, “deconfirmed” characters. Cuz then it’s screw them even more! Then that way all of them can BTFO.

Because of this whole mess, I doubt this character is even going to get out by anyone now!

Umm...she wasn't on my radar up until getting into Smashboards. Then I played a couple of Xeno2 and by some random stroke of luck I got her! Too bad because I had to return my copy to my cousin who's busy with Nitrofueled at this point. But the save data is still there!

Hell, this morning, we literally ranted about Geno and his supporters because of the Fatman vs. Sabi drama. Stop playing the victim like you're the only who gets their characters trashed on.

And Incineroar fans got hate because of the Grinch leak topic.

And Erdrick fans had to deal with hate when Erdrick was the topic. Don't even test me on this one.

And Steve fans had to deal with hate when he was the topic. And then some Steve fans retaliated in the mud flinging.

And Terry fans had to deal with hate because of ignorance and wanting other SNK characters.

And oh boy people do not like Geno some times.

People ****ting on characters unfairly is nothing new. I fully sympathize with y'all KOSMOS fans if people brushed aside your character, but accusing skeptics for being haters is the quickest way for anybody to dislike you and your character. You add nothing new to the discussion by complaining about haters, believe me.

Anyone remember that Dante leak from late Summer of last year? The one that got a lot of things (if not almost everything) right about DMCV and even other details like the series having a TV show in the works? It also said that Dante would be a playable character in Ultimate, and even gave us details on what trailer he'd have and an alt design based on the reboot. None of that happened, it's been over a year, the game has come out and we have 4/5 of the DLC, and yet still no sign of Dante.

The thing with leaks and rumors is that even if they have information that's correct, that doesn't mean all of it is whether it's outdated information, poorly communicated information, or just plain wrong information. We've seen it many times before with examples like Dante, the aforementioned Joker/Hero rumor, the Gematsu leak, and so on. This VGA leak with KH: Remind having something right doesn't mean the rest of it is, it could still have inaccurate information. So being skeptical of that is completely fair when it's only in its infancy in terms of what it's gotten right. It is something to keep in mind, but not blindly follow until we have more information to analyze it.

Yea. I got a feeling Terry was forced out by Nintendo's own leaks.
But Banjo was spot-on, albeit like 24 hours before the reveal itself.
Sabi hinted early on that VR Plant might leak FP5 just before TGA. (I'm gonna watch anyway, but it could save lots of people two hours of waiting.)

Technically, all these characters have a legacy and relevance. People just pretend it doesn’t exist (as if it improves their fighter’s chances. Also SNK apparently was struggling for awhile till it hit the switch. There were articles, but Terry bogard’s smash presence buried the data.

I remember being a Crash supporter in Smash 4, back when he would have been as niche as Banjo before his reboot.
I still believed he was the next "big third party pick".
Keep in mind that our third-party characters at the time were Sonic, Mega Man, and Pac-Man. All cartoony mascots.
Now Doom Slayer is one of the titans of speculation.

Alrighty, I legitimately did not think that KOS-MOS would even mentioned, let alone be the main character of discussion right before a major event, but here we are

KOS-MOS is like... my only major 3rd Party want left. and were very very minor wants and I was just lucky that both of them even made it in considering how few 3rd Party wants I have in general.

If she actually gets in I'm gonna mcfreaking lose it.

Do I think she's FP5? I have no ****ing clue. I'm not confident on any leakers especially when it comes to the VGAs since Joker was a complete blindside.

We're not even guaranteed to get a character at VGAs, much as I'd like it to happen.

So it's just a big ass ? on whether or not all of these disconfirmations actually mean anything. Let alone any other "leaks" or "theories" that have been presented over the course of this speculation period.

At the end of the day, if it's KOS-MOS then I'll be super happy. If it's any other character, then that's fine too since I'm always at least slightly interested in how a character plays and I may pick even them up myself (even tho I still play like... 15+ characters haha... plz help me)

And it's not like this is the end of DLC either so I can hope for Wave 2 for anyone else I still want.

But you know, while KOS-MOS has the limelight, I'll just change my profile pic and hope for the best.

Considering KOF inspired some of Smash mechanics and that SNK was Capcom biggest rival back in the 80-90' (when it came to fighting game of course), I say Terry problems was never his legacy, but rather, the fact he wasn't as prominent in modern time. Making peoples who didn't know any better call him "Ken with a hat". Which is quit funny because Capcom & SNK were already on the joke at least since the first Capcom vs SNK game.

Brief, that said, hopefully his inclusion in Smash will help with that.

It doesn't matter what points you bring up that could help a character get in Smash. Anyone can come up with 5 reasons that a character could be added and that doesn't make them anymore likely than they are. Your posts are beginning to become more and more obsessively obnoxious.

If there is something I wish Smash had more of. It's character interactions like this. I know it would be almost impossible with how many different combinations they would have to make, but it's sad seeing all these characters come together and they have ZERO interaction with each other outside the WOL intro.

They just spawn and start punching each other. It would have been so nice to see this interaction in game with Ken and Terry or Banjo being super happy to see Mario again after all this time.
