On the bright side, if releases do coincide with Amiibos, then Character 5 will be out next month, so the wait is even shorter than most.

While I agree, I think it would be stupid for a supporter to own up to it and make the character less likely because of it. For me, it's convincing enough.

The fact that it is an icon in both the retro and modern era is the primary point of that statement. The fact that it's the one of the last ones of the bunch just serves to highlight that point, not take away from that.

I still feel like there are a bunch of characters that could fit those descriptions. It seems like the biggest push behind him is the relationship between Koei Tecmo and Nintendo. Which again could be said about other companies.

So it all falls back to being one of the few last remaining major NES icons that have lasted into the modern day. Though I must admit. I don't have the emotional connection to the character as others might have growing up with him.

While the Drunk Cat part 2 has been debunked, KOS-MOS is still alive for #5. And Reimu and Hayabusa are still possible in the future.

Like there's always the possibility of the person owning to it lying for whatever reasons they might have.

But under these circumstances, I find it less like for them to lie than tell the truth.

And I didn't really put too much faith into despite it essentially being my dream 3rd Party line up (minus Doomguy)

But yeah, more likely the confession is true than not, more likely that it's confirmed fake than not, but not 100% because we don't have a verified way to know whether or not the guy is lying besides logical reasoning.

I'm unfamiliar with the series but I've seen clips of her from Super Robot Wars, which all involve her shirt breaking open and underboob spilling out. A friend of mine says that's a lead up to her big attack.

That said, I would find it hilarious if the initial reason why KOS-MOS became popular was (probably) because of a fake leak; and then ended up getting in either way.

I wonder if Sakurai would be upset that she got "leaked" and became slightly expected even though that leak was fake.

It’s hilarious how the progression went with it. It goes from fake, then a ridiculously big look on her from an outsider’s point of view, and towards a possible real leak.

This is PapaGenos's prediction, and I largely agree.
But I got a feeling in my gut, which probably isn't constipation, that if we're getting 11 DLC characters (don't forget Plant Boi), we're getting all 16 WoL Dummy slots filled.
So my final 5 would be Spyro, Lara Croft, Heihachi, Dante, and Master Chief.
The double dip pass!
Replace Dante with Kratos if we live in the Matrix and Sony is willing to put a character into Smash.

And if Nintendo gets in on the DLC, well...

its honestly wack that reimu is being treated as a serious contender. if sans, shovel knight and shantae, indies with bigger presence and more demand on both sides of the pond, got hit with the mii, assist trophy and spirit stick then what chance does reimu have of getting in?
