Fair’s lingering farmes are reduced so it’s much harder to land the sour spot that causes tech chases, cheap gimps, and even combos, but in exchange for that, the strong parts of the move have a few more frames to make the strong parts of the move easier to land. The knockback of strong fair will still only kill around 120%.
Splatbomb gets necessary fixes so snipes don’t end with the opponent getting tossed into the stage and the splatbomb doesn’t bounce off on UNSHEILDED opponents.
I just feel it’s necessary for Inkling to have a strong fair since every character has a high knockback move that’s usually their backair (even for characters with bad kill power), characters in this game have ridiculous comeback mechanics and recoveries to go along with it, and rage screws over Inkling by having the opponent get stronger while taking away a great deal of stuff from Inkling herself (which is the case with Pikachu, Sheik, Young Link, and Bayonetta). Plus, splatbomb needs fixes since launch.
