The same thing applies to Travis and Master Chief too by this logic TBH. If you're going to use an NDA argument for one character, you gotta apply it to every other character who received the exact 'No' statement as well. So you don't run into a selective bias approach.

I can see a lot of Salt, angry threads of message boards regarding whoever #5 is, "Literally who" comments, and people thinking the Pass is a ripoff.
The fifth character will either be a falsely deconfirmed character like Crash or Dante or a character everyone deemed impossible, "too niche", or "Inappropriate for the TGA's"
Yup. It doesn't even matter if the character left an obvious impact in the video game community, if it's not in their niche, they won't recognize them.
I'm just here for the ride, personally. I'm pretty contempt having Pac-Man, Shulk, Inkling, and Joker. Sure, Rex or BWD would be amazing, but I've become pretty accepting of the whole pass being 3rd party (I really don't know how people are still arguing otherwise. Did they not remeber what Reggie said last year?).
The few "viable" ones even left are Dragonborn, Reimu, Frogger?, Bill Rizer, Jonesy, Sora, or Kratos.
Not even just Arle at this point, basically any Sonic character or Kiryu could show up and make a huge splash. If Atlus is double dipping, say hello to Demi fiend.
Someone on the Phoenix Wright support thread did claim that Vergeben deconfirmed Capcom in a GameFAQs post... but also that the post in question was deleted, followed by others pointing out that it could've been someone else posing as Vergeben with a fake account.
Oops. Forgot about Arle. She's very forgettable.
Apart of me wishes we didn't get the season 2 confirmation just to see how the community reacts, it would of made hoes mad look like a meditation club.
I'm not going to get into the Fatman stuff aside from saying that he's no longer in the insider discord.
This is the person who said it's not Crash or Tracer, if I recall.
So Capcom being out is likely but not fully uncovered
Fatman isn't a lier, he is just person just like all of us speculating. Though he was in Sabi's private discord and heard some inside information from Sabi's NoA, he isn't a leaker or insider. He is just a awesome dude with awesome theories.
That's still going to be hundreds of series. There are a lot of games in the world.

Well Nintendo could get another character, so can Konami. I totally wouldn't rule out Konami getting DLC in this game as we all know how greedy/selfish they're with their IPs. The Contra guys I would say are the most likely characters to be the next Konami character.

He uses the fact he was there as evidence he's legit despite him, you know, being kicked out from there. Nothing awesome about a guy going "GUYS IT'S THIS CHARACTER NO WAIT IT'S ONE OF THESE HERE'S A PICTURE OF A BIRD AND I'M SURE THIS IS THE ONE!"
Anything could happen. But I really do beleive we will not be getting a character who has their series already represented in Smash. Each DLC fighter in this first fighters pass seems to have the intention of introducing a whole world of content not found in Smash Bros already. It comes with a stage, music, and spirits. It's a speculation, but that seem like what Sakurai wants to do. So I assume that fighter 5 will follow suit.
Well I think the character needs to have some sort of notability. They can't be a complete nobody or no one will buy the DLC. They don't have to be super famous either.
Sabi's NoA source was the one that first show the bird photo to the discord, and then Fatman was given permission to show it to the Geno thread afterwards. He isn't in the discord anymore but while he was in there, he could only be allowed to say certain things to us and was putting his theories into the things he was allow to share with us.
Porky and Sylux don't have Spirits so there is a VERY slim possibility they could happen. Spirit promotions could happen as well with characters like Bandana Dee, Elma, Rex & Pyra, Dixie Kong.
He has one theory and that's "here's how Geno is likely!".
He never had permission from what I saw which is one of the reasons he got kicked out. Riling up Geno fans by pretending to have info isn't a theory, it's manipulation. He also spurred on the idea that grinch was legit and every insider was lying and that only Papagenos is trustworthy. I don't give a **** about Geno but his fans shouldn't be manipulated by him pretending he actually knows anything and using the fact he used to be in Sabi's discord as reason to pay attention to him. I even saw what happened on in the Geno thread and he lied about being kicked out until he was caught, he's lying
Can you blame him? He has been on this Smash train for 20 years and 13 years in this community on Smashboards.
Given Resi is apparently out, only way I can see that happening is if Sakurai decides to do them as full 8-Bit characters walking about shooting pellets like Mega Man.
That doesn't really justify, well, anything. Being around longer doesn't change that he's making conspiracy theories that Geno is actually in. I want you to remember one thing. He didn't say he was kicked out of the server but merely retired, it took someone else going "bull**** you were kicked out" for him to admit the truth. He showed he can, will and has lied to gain your trust, as he kept using the fact he was in that discord as proof he's legit
I mean, I'd say most of them are since they're from, ya know, fake leakers.
