Vergeben talked about the Tales of series in gamefaqs smash thread and several people speculated that Vegeben has info about a Tales of character being FP5 but that probably means nothing.

But afaik, Tales Of already had their big show not that long ago, and neither trademarked item was used.


Not to say they couldn't be in the future, and I agree with you that the Book would be an odd use for LLoyd's Stock icon, but it does raise a question as to 'what' these are trademarked for. Their big 'presentation' came and went, and the "Tales Of" logo wasn't used there, while it 'does' look like the series Logos for Mii Costumes.

The thing that's giving me pause about it being used for Mii costumes is that Persona 3 and Persona 4's protagonists just used the logos from their actual games. It's not impossible, it just breaks precedent for some reason.

As for the book, yeah, it's a great symbol for Tales but possibly not for Lloyd. I'm still holding out hope for Velvet or Ludger (or to be frank Anyone But Yuri) but I really don't feel that that symbol makes sense for Lloyd nor does it really make sense for them to trademark it for Smash when I haven't heard of others going through that.

Also, like, since when has Smash done the "[X] series" thing outside of series' that have individual logos like Pokemon or Castlevania? Even Goemon just used the N64 game's logo. It's strange.

Yes there is. Sakurai said that if the alts move even slightly different, even in idle, it can effect the course of battle. Therefor if they do move even slightly different they should be considered a separate fighter. All alts must move exactly the same. The exception would be on the victory screen where it doesn't matter.

Sure, those are rules Sakurai has followed so far. However, "alternate costumes," i.e., what you get when you cycle through options for a certain character box on the character select screen, could have different animations. Just don't follow Sakurai's rules.

If Smash somehow does end up with a Sony character, it's almost certainly gonna be Kratos. The most recognizable face of the company is almost always the one to get into Smash first, which is why we got Terry over someone like Nakoruru or Pac-Man over anyone else from Namco. The only exception is Banjo getting in before Steve or Master Chief, but that was a very special case of the character being heavily requested and having a unique history with Nintendo. Unless there's a huge push for some other Sony character I'm not aware of, Kratos makes the most sense, violence be damned (not that it was even an issue to begin with, cuz you know, )

Sony's very stingy. If anything they'll probably have them use one of their lesser known IPs such as Kat.

Thus, I suspected that that could be the most probable course, and since then, I have no expectations for future DLC and will just quit Smash if FP5 won't be female. That is my stance.

Pardon me, but this decision, all this? It's all me. I set my fate in stone once I bet on this pass. No women in Fighters Pass, I'll quit Smash, and probably...I don't want to say it. It'll threaten you all.

I just wnat a good, honest, down-to-****ing-earth truth and conclusion that came from either Nintendo or the higher-ups and I'll accept it to heart. I'll say this Lesley as a counterpoint to Shroob's post. We all have our inner demons / impulses. Feeding them and letting them run wild doesn't do much, does it? It feels like ones stuck in mud or going in circles.

However, learning about your impulses can do a lot. If there's any person you have the most power over it's yourself. If you try to better your self control and try to focus on your positive sides, you can achieve a lot on your own self. It's gonna be a massive mountain, but who said it's impossible to climb it?

If you say you're done - take that step back Reset. You, honestly, need it. Also, remember what theponycom told you way back? Do stuff like that, seriously.

There's no need for anyone to fulfill your specific wishes. There's relatively quite a lot of female characters already in Smash.

Because I care, and I care a lot. Because I want to buy this DLC yet it doesn't meet what I want! I'm worse than all the people clamoring for Geno because unlike them, I put my everything on the line for this!

That'd actually be a dream come true if they gave us Kat. If she's even as half as fun to use in Smash as she was in Play Station All Stars and Gravity Rush (still have yet to beat GR2), then bring her over.

Edit: Kat could use the love, rather than catching dust on Sony shelf and a Hekseville stage or the other cities would make for some great Zero G Shenanigans

Or that's how I will feel about it at least. I get that DLC and base roster are different things but if he's going to add characters from games that recent I preferred he wouldn't have given that specific reason to apologize. That said, I would be down for Byleth because I like my Fire Emblem. Though I think Edelgard would be more interesting, Byleth is the more obvious choice.

I'm a fellow female smash player too but oh my goodness please calm down, this is not a good look for us =(

It's not about filling a quota. It's about choosing character's that would be fun to play as (and has a fan following too).

Take gender out of the equation and you'll find that the character's we've gotten so far are fantastic. I'll suspect the future DLC will be pretty great too.

I highly suggest you take a break from smash because this is obviously affecting you deeply. I took a break from smash myself for a few months and it really did help.
