- Common in the Mario series


He does not contribute to the Mario franchise, in any real major way. Unlike Bowser Jr. Bowser Jr. is popular as well, and Iconic. Even though it is to a lesser extent in both areas, it's not like popularity is new to Smash bros. Every character in Smash is popular. Almost none of the characters in Smash have contributed as little to their series as Toad has.

I always say it's rude for guests to bring friends to parties (Sonic, you can't bring Tails) and they have to be invited back, not just assume they can come back. (We don't want you back Sonic, the "You're too SLOOOW!" is just a less funny version of "Hands off my prey!")

I love Sonic Adventure... Dreamcast was my all-time favorite console. I really hate how SEGA keeps trying to make alternate sonics... Knuckles was okay, Metal Sonic was fine, but then Shadow came around, then Silver.... Just... ew.
