there is nothing wrong with watching the anime... except when it goes into month long fillers arc, but other than that, there is nothing wrong!

the main problem with anime is how long it takes compared to manga

i mean, a manga chapter takes you 5 minutes if you go REALLY slowly, this includes renaming and archiving, 2 minutes if you're just reading online

anime covers maybe 3(?) chapters of manga, so do the calculations yourself

The term hipster is very misleading... In reality if one has a lot of hipster traits about him, then he isn't really hip with things, or at least more than the average person, if he does things (or likes them) before anyone else. Hipsters are the opposite of being hip.

Although they are supposed to be "cool" because it makes you think they are unique.

mangafox turned scanlation into a corporate money vacuum (you have no idea how much they rake in), and as a result businesses and more importantly publishing companies now regard scanlation as something incredibly detrimental, and thus scanlation groups cannot negotiate properly with them

it's a big part of an undeserved stigma and indirectly responsible for things like mangastream suddenly dying

not only that, the stupid little 'hosted at mangafox' marks lead people to believe mangafox, a bunch of corporate suits who take in ad money, actually do work to bring manga to the community, which is absolute bs...and people don't know about the groups who actually work to release stuff unless they're super high profile, like mangastream

i have heard people saying sleepyfans is a single admin on the mangafox site, that's how stupid this is

you will see many smaller groups plastering their releases with watermarks and blaming mangafox/mangahere/whatever for them, because they don't want them taking credit
