Episode was good. Blond pony in glasses has me in a froth (during Pinkie's song). I wish to know who she is. The song itself was good, too.

And that's fine. I'm just saying that this episode is personally my least favourite episode of the entire show and it's not just because it's a Pinkie episode.

But seriously...remember the episode of Pokemon where Ash's Bulbasaur decided not to evolve so that he can keep his personality or something? This is gonna be just like that.

Also, Dragon Quest
The fanfic in question that I remembered for Spike, I think it was that one where it goes, in no order, how each of the mane six die of old age. I think that's the fanfic that had Spike going through the exact same thing before he had to leave the group as this synopsis implies.
It was such an amazing fanfic. Applejack died second last, right before Twilight. So good. Oh, and that fic made me like RD a little more.
It's interesting to see how some fans would off the cast. There was another fic where Dash dies from hitting a bird in the sky in midflight. It was the funniest, saddest, most surreal way for a daredevil pegasi to go.

I accidentally misread your post and thought you and PL didn't care for the episode because of the ending as well as most of the stuff before it for not fleshing out Matilda and Cranky's relationship so that the ending wouldn't of seemed as rushed.Besides Gates, I think everyone liked it.

I'm pretty much in agreement with NinjaFoxX where while it would've been nice if they took a bit more time with it thus making it feel less rushed it still wouldn't of made too much of a difference to me on the quality of that ending.
The ending was okay for me and it was obviously rushed cause of the lack of time, which I know what it's like to hate something for that reason.
It's the same reason why I hate a part in S2E2.
Lastly I believe PL brought up why should we even care or give any kind of emotion about Cranky and/or Matilda in the end when we don't know much about them?
For me despite the fact they weren't in the episode I still somewhat cared that they both found each other in the end. It's like with one of the characters in Season 1 who I did care about even when we didn't know too much about her.
