u also get paid a lot less.
This is true.

But the problem is you don't get paid more proportionally to how much more it costs. So you make more, yes, but you pay A LOT more. The key to actual success and retiring early is to make as much as you can while living hard/cheap up north and then bringing your wealth down south and investing in stocks/business endeavors. Cost of living will make what was an even salary into an excess and then a reasonable amount of money can be double and triple due to the nature of investing IF you're smart and surround yourself with good people (lawyers/brokers/business owners). The problem is acquiring the initial funds to work with, hence why people who inherit a good bit early in life tend to be successful/live more easily.

meh, capitalism and socialism are both sucky methods alone. Capitalism for the simple fact that greed is always going to rear its ugly head and someone is going to decide that they deserve 300% profit on a necessity *coughgas/oilcompanycough* and socialism is also a horrible Idea due to the standardize effect, the brain drain effect and too much goverment control is never a good thing. Its opressive and its not the greed of money driving it, its the greed of power and control. Every greedy human has a desire to enslave others when they feel superior, and forget that we are all created equal. They feel as if the accomplishment makes them of more or less value to the human race when in fact they forget the people that helped them achieve these accomplishment.
So, that begs the question: What is a good system? Well, IMO a balance must be put in place and then maintained so the scales don't tip to far in either direction. It seems that we've been trying to get to this place for the last 30 years or so but its always either too far to the right or too far to the left. Like Obama for instance is trying to enact too much socialism taking away the right of a free nation, while the republican parties are too capitalist turning a blind eye to big business running rampant with greed and forcing us into an economic depression. We need the government to revise its business laws completely and start prohibiting injustice in the corporate system with out infringing on our right to make choices. I'd say a 74% capitalism/26% socialism ratio is perfect. I would explain how but that is a subject to lengthy for this thread.

Now that we're on the subject, what is a good time for everyone else. We're thinking some time in March.

We want to make the next one big. We'll be using the whole house next time, which will essentially double the space we have available. (We'll be using mine and David's room, as well as clearing out another room that was previously used for storage of random junk). I know that G6 is currently attracting a lot of OOS, so I don't want to interfere too much with that, but I think CH is more conveniently located for a lot of OOS (mainly from the North) and we have soooooo much space.

uggg a week after G6...

would you wanna make it melee only and have it march 5th?

EDIT: cause both 313 and steve's tournies are brawl only. melee doesn't have anything scheduled between pound 5 and G6. i think good spacing between pound 5 and G6 would be the 5th.

We were contemplating making it a melee only regional, or just keeping it as it is and trying to make it take the role of billfests.

I'll run these ideas across david and monica. I would personally prefer to keep brawl. I do want this to be big, though, because the venue is so good.

With G6 getting OOS attention I dunno if we should really try to interfere with that attendance right now.

Keeping them as both games helps Brawl out with tourneys as well(not that they'll need it next month but in general they do).
