^Unless youre Ravin; He's too good.

And LOL @ play gay. Theres such horrible advice going on in this thread.

Reliable kill tactics? Ways to deal with tornado? Ways to deal with an aggressive MK that powershields your 'gayness'? When to use UpB OoS? How to 'not get gimped'?

Those are some questions to be answered to help progress the match-up. Play gay and ledgecamp just dont cut it.

QFT, not that i dont love what xyro said and agree with it :p

What should i do out of tornado and when im off the ledge. Even if i tilt my shield up in the tornado so it wont sheild poke me then he just soars away and lands with no lag so its really hard to punish and i cant Upb Oos

MK is faster in every way.

Only viable option to consistently beat a good MK is to become ridiculously good at defense and reading attacks.

a good metaknight will always beat a good samus. just face it.
a good meta knight will most likly beat a good samus, a Pro samus would **** a good meta and a pro meta would beat a pro samus. Its the way of the tier list no way to change it, why lose? Think about what he is doing, play smarter than him, if you play just as smart as him you will most likly lose, this is wh m2k is so good a smart meta. But when facing someone of his caliber think to yourself he is not smarter than me i have to regain confidence and win. Pretty much back to playing with the proper mindset.

Both of their hit boxes come out at the same time. As i said, the BEST case scenario is trading hits. Now if youre actually facing a MK that has common sense, and knows how to space.... its not likely to punish. As theyd hit with dsmash outside of fsmashes range.

You say this now but in the heat of battle thngs are much differnt. If you have common sense you would hug and wait for that nado or Dsmash

The tier list isn't set in stone, so it is subject to change. Also, a tier list isn't a match-up list. So while one character is high-tier, and another is low-tier, it doesn't mean that a certain low-tier can beat a certain high-tier.

I don't have a big problem with MK, i figure out how they approach then i don't let them approach that way anymore. That's all there is to it and they start freaking out and need to think of other things to do. Of course a hella pro MK player however will figure out how to bypass this and it will become an interesting and hard match to play.

Dat's a hell of a thing to say Tudor

You know they're talking about banning the character?

Everyone wants the easy win.

Id agree for a temp ban. But that wouldn't fix the issue of getting around him.

I thought it was decided that the ban wasn't going to take place?
..Which is unfortunate.

ummm...

i dunno what to say...

sorry?

lol yah, i know some people wanna ban.
Na, I mean to say that what you say about not having a problem with him really, seems a bit out of place amongst all the complainers.

Personally, I'm against the ban, too easy, too early in the game to ban it.

A temp ban for what? To stop tourny wins? How bout instead we find ways to beat him

Unable to find ways, then ban him

But it's far to early to be banning characters, I havn't even seen any impressive tech chasing done, mindgames seem to be nonexistent in a game that seems dependent on them

it was just a refrence to characters being better than others if 2 people where evenly skilled meta and samus meta would win. Just fiqured it would hep people understand.

How do you measure a persons skill exactly?
You can't really :p, not accurately

And for the record, the match up listing is subject to change as well

We are still early in brawl
Still finding new things even

I wish I could give more insight
I mean...living in florida so close to the smash scene
I really should go to tournaments
I just feel uncomfortable
Maybe I would feel less so if I brought my own TV and Wii

true you cant, any player could beat any player, just a higher chance for the meta to win. Meta should not be banned at all he is the smash 64 kirby of brawl and the melee shiek of brawl just give him a chance like you did them and we will learn more stuff like knihT said.

you measure it with who has more overall tech skill, obviously

just kidding. you plug their controllers into skillometers and whoever has the highest root mean square value is better.

I been told to position yourself for the Dair in the top part of his UB.

Or at least remain directly above him so you get hit with the tippy top part which doesn't have much KB

imo, samus's metagame seems a bit too premature to properly answer the question, how to beat mk?

sigh...... the world may never know

imo we are not premature at all, look at how far we have come. Meta is a tough obstical for the samus boards but there is a way around everything, and like i said meta is one of my easiest matchups.

If you spam bombs it makes them more cautious. And when they are cautious you can continue to space with the Zair.

Don't worry though, I'm just a noob.

I'm just gonna throw out there... I find MK to be really easy to spike as Samus...
Or at least that's what I've found playing other MKs.

This TBH. MK is one of my most known/easiest match ups, next to Peach(I play a hella lotta Peaches). Dair, Charge Shots, Zair, Uair and some missiles and D/U tilts thrown in, and I usually don't have much trouble. As long as I stay on my toes.
