Has Winnar made the decision to move the date to Labor Day weekend yet or has the date been officially made?
We officially cannot move it to labor day. By then football will have started, and football is king.

We'd lose priority for hotels, venue, parking, and probably some other stuff, so the date stays where it is.

Also...hungryboooooox :D

Thank goodness its not labor day. That would have been too close to the semester for me to come.

You ain't seen nothin yet
When I quote people, I always instinctively click the farthest left button without reading since that where the "quote" button is but I just became a moderator like an hour ago so I accidentally clicked "edit" (meaning I was about to edit your post) and at one point I almost deleted your post lol. I guess I need to get used to this.

Anyways, the question I was going to ask is: do you use Google Talk (I see that you have a Gmail email account)?

I am cool with AIM but sometimes AIM lags for me so I prefer Google Talk. I don't really have that many questions right now, but I would like a future reference if it was possible to contact you through Google Talk if you do use it.

The only question relating to the tournament I have to ask you for now is that:

Do you plan on doing an early registration period where you get like free venue fee if you register like 6 months in advance similar to what Plank did for Pound V?

Doing this will get the flow of registrants flowing. This is just a suggestion.

lol awesome, congrats on getting mod :D

I check my gmail often and occasionally use it for google chat, but I am on AIM like all the time. Actually, I forward all my email to one account, so it might not show me as online unless you have the one account I check. PM me if you really want it.

Also yes, we will have discounts for early registration. I meant to make the payment/transportation thread but lately I have been busy on a kind of extreme level lately(worked on various things for 33 hours straight, slept 10 hours, worked for 24 more hours, etc). I'll return to finishing up the MSU prepwork sometime this weekend or week

We have to sign up online?
Yes, but don't register just yet. We'll have the payment/transportation thread up soon (this weekend or next week)

Also, awesome avatar :D

By the way, online pre-registration/payment is the only way we will be able to do most of the cool things we're planning on doing. I don't think it really inconveniences anyone, let me know if that would actually be a problem.

It's really fun, but at the time I was waiting on the release of the demo to come out.

That was a spectacular failure.

I wonder how hype the PM mini tourney will be =o

1200 downloads in less than 24 hours is super hype.

Sweet.

Whats not cool is how I hate all of teh characters in the demo lol.

I can't stand playing Falco or other Top/High tiers without landing detection fixed.
All the Melee characters don't feel right because the game isn't finished yet... =/

Only the characters who sucked in Melee or have no basis of comparison like Snake or Sonic are fun.

Landing detection feels pretty fine to me. Not nearly as bad as it was on Saturday, but even that wasn't terrible.

Though yeah, I have to agree that no peach is kind of a sad day

Falco is absolutely ******** in Project M. His dair and shine are noticeably better in P:M, as if that was needed. :p

i don't get how that would be possible with:

identical knockback, hitbox size, damage for all of those (direct port from his melee.dats)

&

higher DI potency

Having not played it, I can't really comment, but it could have to do with things external to the moves, like the shields of the characters they are being used on. Are shield mechanics/sizes and character hitboxes/ratios the same?

I didn't say that Falco's combos were better. Brawl DI makes that impossible to say. However, I do feel like those two moves have larger hitboxes with respect to the character size. Maybe it's just me but isn't Brawl Falco a little bit smaller? :p

I won't argue hard numbers from the lead developer of the project, but I'm just calling it how I see it.

They don't have larger hitboxes, they were resized to match his model size for the demo. You're delusional in that regard (no offense).

A lot of it is just skepticism. Certain points may be true regarding character size / shield size. However, I think a lot of this is just placebo effect. We'll keep an eye on it, for sure.
