[2. Housing]​

We've worked with the local Comfort Suites and Hilton and managed to secure 50 rooms at a fixed rate for 3 nights (Friday, Saturday, Sunday). We've worked with them to get the prices down so you can share a 2 queen bedroom (with 1 sleeper sofa) with 4 people for $45/night per person. If the queen bedrooms sell out, there are also king rooms available. Also, the first fifty people to reserve rooms get free continental breakfast for all three days.

There is other lodging in Starkville, but we will be hosting some super great late night events for those staying at the hotels listed above. More info on those later, but among them will be an amateur bracket for those who didn't make it out of Brawl and Melee singles pools. There will be no entry fee for these events, but we'll be putting money into the pot for these events.

Remember, the only way to get into these side events is to book your hotel rooms through us! If the rooms sell out, we will sell passes to play in these side events.

IMPORTANT - All of the proceeds from the passes we sell, as well as a portion of the side events' pot will go towards the Child's Play Charity.

As for the guaranteed pot, right now there is $500 automatically being put into each of the above five events, before any entry fees are added in. For example, if 100 people enter brawl singles then that would be $2000 + $500 = $2500 pot.​

Tentatively:
- This is a TWO DAY EVENT. It's listed as 4 days because Friday at 10PM is when the first side event starts and the Monday at 5AM is when we're busing people back to Memphis (MEM).
- Everyone flies or drives in on Friday. Those who fly will fly to Memphis (MEM), and we will have three MSU charter coach buses to get people from the airport to the campus. More information on this in the [Transportation] section.
- All pools matches on Saturday
- All bracket matches on Sunday
- Three side events at the hotel on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night

We will be taking a leaf out of Pound's book and making a separate thread for setups. Thread coming soon!

[7. Security, Food]​

Security will be provided at the venue for your convenience and for ours.

The Union (our venue), has several places to eat at on the first floor

[8. Transportation]​

Since there is a lot of information for transportation, we will be making a separate thread for it.

A quick overview is that anyone flying in will need to fly in on Friday into Memphis (MEM), as we'll be having a few charter coach buses taking people from Memphis to Starkville. We'll provide times on when people need to fly in once we have the thread up. We've currently got a 10% discount for anyone who flies with AirTran, but more information on that once we get the other thread up.

Right now we can only provide 165 people transportation from Memphis to Starkville. If more people confirm they are going to fly in, we will make sure you're able to get here somehow.

$22 for buses (round trip)
$135 for hotels (all three nights, or $45 per night per person)
$20 Venue Fee
$10 Spectator Fee (includes friendlies for the whole weekend)
$20 for Singles Events
$15 for Doubles Events

We are hiring a professional to come record as many setups as possible. He will also be recording around the venue so we can capture as much hype as possible.​

Also, there will be a stream of some kind for this. There might even be more than one, I'm not totally sure yet.​

One other thing I need some input on is which streaming service we should be looking into (Ustream, Livestream, others?). Any input here would be much appreciated.​

Some quick notes: The 10k event space. The tables will not be circular as pictured, but instead rectangular laid out in rows (also no table cloth).

Pools will be done in the 10K event space (Day 1) and brackets will be spread throughout the building (Day 2)

The lounge on the 1st floor will be home to friendlies and live streaming of matches and the current bracket results

The cafeteria is actually a lot bigger than in the pic. Its home to Chic-Fil-A, Sabarro Pizza, A convince store, Spanish food, A sandwich shop, and many more food places

The lounge on the second floor is also going to have friendlies and as well be a reception area

The 10K event space has the 1 IMAX projector and 2 other projectors which will be on the side as well (all streaming diff matches

The Grand-Stage also has a projector and will be used for high profile/hype matches

We rented out the entire 2nd and 3rd floors of the event building and partial of the 1st floor. So the entire 15k sq feet of venue space can not be seen in jus these few pics. But yea, its a **** load of space

Let me Explain the Side Events:
Night 1: Friday 10:30pm - We will kick off things with a friendly tier bracket (i.e. mango vs armada, not you vs armada). There will be $200 in that pot and it will be comprised of Brawl and Melee singles

Night 2: Saturday 10:30pm- If you didn't make it outta pools, then don't fret because we will begin a $200 pot bracket for your playing. ITS TOTALLY FREE. We will start this with Brawl Singles and Doubles

Night 3: Sunday 10:30pm- Same thing as night 2 but instead BRawl singles and doubles with a $200 pot COSTING YOU NOTHING.

The only way you can get access to these events is if you buy your hotel rooms through us. You will have a special pass thus gaining you entry. There will be only enough passes for about 230 people, after that, we will begin selling them (by then, you shoulda already decided if your coming or not). All funds made from the passes will be donated (along with a portion of the pot) to childs play (a service helping to benefit the less fortunate gamer).

REMEMBER, THESE EVENTS COST YOU ABSOLUTE NOTHING IF YOU GET YOUR HOTEL ROOM THROUGH US

I have contacted Shanus about having Project M as one of the side events. It's probably a definite thing since he just announced a demo build will be released before Pound V.

I was planning on having an amateur bracket for Brawl and Melee singles on Saturday night. We would probably do crews on Friday or Sunday and Project M on the other night.
