yeah really, Ontario, or atleast the Toronto area is SORELY lacking melee tournaments, like **** Brawl, its for noobs who cant keep up or retired melee players who cant seem to keep up the growing pace of melee. Seriously, i want a tourney like soon, the last one I attended was only 2 weeks ago, but before that it was like, forever before. And I really dont want to always have to drive to Quebec or New York for a tourney

You would think Toronto being the largest city in Canada would have a bit more of a smash scene, its really sad and a pain in the ***.

We do got anime north (ok theres one tournament, potentially dropping melee) and like, a few tournaments here and there, never anything serious.

I've been thinking...if melee had more balanced characters (i.e. buff all bad characters to a point where they are viable in competitive play), and removed phantom hints, and maybe balance a few more stages
and a graphics touch up too
It would be too good of a game for the physical universe to handle. Think about it.
Not to say melee isn't amazing ****, but sometimes I think, with a few relatively easy adjustments, this game would go on forever. Like chess or some card game. Anyone else?

i think thatd be great, but i think phantom hits are better than just straight up missing in those scenarios (phantom hits are actually misses/tangent hitbox and hurtbox)

you only need some SMALL changes to make the bad charcters good.

give G&W his L-cacels and h'll be bairing b***es like no one's business and have even more crazy combos

give kirby faster jumps and a tad faster run= having pressure, harder to camp to death. he would need a few more things like a good recovery and some f***ing hit stun so he can at least combo wihout up-tilt I swear his combo game/punish is the s***st in the game without up-tilt bowser can punish harder/more offen.

give bowser a little less lag and more range on upair would be incredible

pichu having 3 more frames of hitstun on his fair would let him pillar everyone's nuts off fair up-tilt repeat till you dair of sneck in an up-smash.

really only kirby and ness need massive rehull for design could just give the rest a little buffer and hep them out a lot.

actually ness doesnt need very much. If his dash attack didnt do the floaty + no hitstun thing he'd be a lot better and he could use his size & range increased by about 10%

ness needs moves and a fighting style he uses in his game.

he doesn't get elemental attacks. he needs his massive damage psi rockin omega or whatever, maybe like a samus charge beam or something. that would be potentially cool. maybe some disables or whatever a la hypnosis or paralysis. or something.

he also needs to use the bat / yo-yo for all his moves or just have more sparkles in general. he fights with some sort of weapon or psychic attack for like the entire game. i get they needed to make up attacks to give the pokemon but like ness actually has a weapon just let him use it.

that will never happen though. ness w/ pk fire is smash canon. so dumb. ugh.
