Skip Lash? That sounds counter well, productive based on everything I've heard. Or is the Lash bit a lot more important to the Cerberus Adept's game?
Look how powerful Smash is, look at its recharge time with something like a Carnifex, look how much range it has and look at how it can go through walls.

If you're doing anything other than smashsmashsmashsmashrechargemyshieldsbioticchargesmashsmashsmash then you're playing him wrong.

Well, keep in mind I haven't used him at all, so I have no idea, lol.

Is Lash at least useful to the Cerb-Adept?

lash is useful on the cerb-adept, because singularity sucks

it's probably better to have that leveled up than to have singularity leveled up since singularity does jack **** to anything with shields and guess what. EVERYTHING ON GOLD HAS SHIELDS

so lash is more useful than that but seriously, just be like the hulk and smash everything

I beat platinum last night.

Granted, it was on FBW/Geth...

But it was STILL a pain in the ***, and it took us two-three tries.

It was about a 130k payout. So a premium pack per Platinum clear.

It's so crazy. @________@

The N7 Slayer is... Interesting. I'm trying to decide how I want to build him. I may dump the hand cannon. Or at least put 3 points into it. It's so hard to decide. It's not useless. But it's counter productive to my goals of staying alive. Plus, I don't think it combos with Biotic Slash.

Which, by the way, Biotic Slash takes too long for me to... Use to effectively detonate my Biotic Charge.

So... Do I go straight Melee with this guy, or what?

I should be playing this over the weekend folks. You better play with me.

130k for Platinum? Some people I was playing Gold with a couple days ago said it was 200-300k?
Maybe... MAYBE if you get great time bonuses on your money/credit rounds. But even then, I'm not so sure.

We wiped on our first round 10 because it was a "4 pylon hack". >_< Banshees and Phantoms everywhere. And of course, myself being the only one with missiles and gel left... got ganked... >_>

The second time was an Elimantion round. Much easier, as you can imagine.

So that should give you an idea as towards how YMMV in regards to Time Bonuses for Platinum.

Oh all right. I get this odd feeling though that a team of 3 Demolishers and a Shadow would have a relatively easier time with Platinum if you grouped the Pylons together because of the mass Grenade regen and Shield refill. I could be wrong though.

Yes and no.

Shadow suffers from the Cloak reduction that all Infiltrators got hit with, if I'm not mistaken (I don't have the Shadow yet, but I'm assuming). Plus, they're a close range fighter. I don't feel comfortable bring Murdertrain in yet, let alone the Ninja.

3 Demolishers with Pylons, I don't know if the Shield buff stacks. The ammo dumps would be nice, but the rate is 10/13 seconds for ammo/grenades (respectively). If you staggered how they dropped, you could get a nice routine going, but you still have 3 characters that ALL use grenades... You're going to be fighting over grenades. :/ Not exactly efficient.

Not to say it can't work, but I wouldn't recommend it. I'd say two Demolishers at most. One for each "wall" of FBW.

Yeah it's incredibly small for the amount of enemies you face.

Edit:

Was the missing mods referenced in this thread? Can't remember, but oh well here they are:

I have seen some questions from fans about mods that were "missing" from the most recent Multiplayer Manifest. These items are:

Assault Rifle High-Velocity Barrel

Assault Rifle Thermal Scope

Sniper Rifle High-Velocity Barrel

Sniper Rifle Thermal Scope

Shotgun High-Velocity Barrel

Shotgun Omni-Blade

Pistol Heavy Barrel

These items were deliberately excluded as we realized that they required some patching that was not ready in time for Earth. They will be available in a future update once the patch is complete.

So, embarrassing thing I found when I finally tried the Cerbguard. I thought Smash was Lash and Lash was Smash, so that was why I was confused. :urg:

If you're using the Shadow, you should definitely take the duration bonus for tactical cloak. Even with the nerf, if you take an upgrade for duration you shouldn't have a problem for duration. However, with sniper/shotgun infiltrators, you don't need to take the duration bonus, you can still do pretty well even if tac cloak only lasts 4 seconds.

Yeah, I can last pretty well with my GI. Does fairly well in holding a small corridor for a decent amount of time.

Still don't like that nerf though. Some places are just too big to fall back with cloak.

Looks like the Destoyer is a high tier character, and I'd say the Krogan Vanguard is too as it's incredibly easy to play a Gold without going down as him, even when you're not fully specced for durability.

Anyway I did actually choose the Missile Launcher on the the Destoyer. Why? It's stagger ability is actually quite useful when it fires 3 missiles and has a fast recharge time, and it's clearly going to get buffed this Tuesday or Wed and I can't be arsed wasting a Reset Package on my Destoyer again.

That class is the one I want so bad. I just got the Paladin and Fury last night.

Anyway, FBW/Geth on Plat has become the new farming stage. Very easy now when I have a friend and I as SEs and the other two are for unleashing BEs.

Still have to play on all of the maps though.

I've heard people describe the Destroyer as a cross between a walking Cerberus Turret and a mini Atlas.

But does THAT class have a never ending supply of Grenades? :awesome:

The Destoyer can have 8 or 9 (I think, it's at least 7) Multi-Frags which are incredibly helpful. Insane power damage, Missiles that shoot every 3 seconds (which are pretty crappy right now but are clearly going to get buffed massively in these next few days), and Multi-Frags + up to over 2000 shields = a top tier class.

Sak you have Xbox yeah? You really should go on Firebase Glacier against Cerberus, it's faster than FBW (my average is 20 mins but if you REALLY went for it you could take it down to 13 with a good well coordinated team) and it's also much easier, and more importantly, much much funner.

Like you can use all sorts of different classes, you're not stuck with Infiltrators and tech basically. All you need to learn to do is control the spawns and you'll eat through the waves.

You see where he stands at the start of every wave? Behind that yellow line, whilst the Geth doesn't move any farther forward than that doorway (also don't go past that doorway to the right of extraction either)? Well basically you don't even have to spilt up like they did in that video, you just have to make sure all your teammates are no closer to that stairway than any of the players were in that video, and make sure you're there at the start of every wave, and then just rush down the stairs and kill everything at spawn, and then just stick together and run a circle around the map, it's so easy and fast.

All you need to know is a Reegar is fantastic if you're having trouble with Atlas', it'll take down their shields in about 2 seconds (at level 10 anyway), don't really use snipers apart from the Krysae (it's too close range for snipers) and you can more or less run any class. Play Cerberus too, they're the easiest faction by far. You're not stuck using the same old boring tech classes, you can play Vanguards (well if you're host, Vanguard glitch is still there) and Infiltrators and Soldiers and anything really. It's MUCH funner than boring old FBW, and about 7 minutes faster too. Once you've learned all the places that Turrets can be set up it'll be a walk in the park.

Tips, use a missile if it's the "kill the targets" objective, you know the Atlas is going to spawn at the bottom of the staircase and if you kill it in less than 10 seconds (aka missile it) the next 3 things that spawn will be Nemisis on wave 3, Guardians on wave 6, and Phantoms on wave 10, which is much faster than killing 4 Atlas. Also, don't kill the Atlas on the other objective waves unless you REALLY have to, just keep it at bay until the objectives are done, otherwise it's just going to respawn. And don't be afraid to use missiles, there will be tons of situations where you come across 2 Atlas standing close to each other and, while they can be easy to take out when you're all together, sometimes it's just faster to missile them.

Wow. Forcing spawns.

Didn't think it was possible xD Will try this out if I can find a competent team.

I dunno about speed runs though. I see the guy reviving himself ASAP, and I don't think I want to be doing that.

Are you doing this on just Gold by any chance?

Just gold it's not possible on Platinum. Just set up camp at the bottom of those stairs and guard it if you want to do a Platinum, I think I did it with Xanthan or ODIN here the other day and we got an extraction. Anyway ignore Platinum just do this on Gold until you know Glacier inside out.

Anyway you don't really need that good a team, just teammates that know how to stay behind that yellow line and rush down those stairs at the start. Just the sheer force of your weapons and powers will overwhelm Cerberus pretty much regardless of who you are, and then the rest of the fight is easy as you'll all stick together focusing fire on the same things.

I use this class if I want to make it easy for myself:

http://narida.pytalhost.com/me3/classes/#53PAQOR@0@0EE@@

Once you learn to walk backwards after your charge, and shoot with your Reegar, you'll only get insta-killed about 2% of the time. In fact the 2 matches where I played as that class yesterday I never even went down once, and I was charging head first into Turrets, Atlas and Phantoms, all I needed was a biotic teammate and Cerberus fell like flies. You see what I mean by it being easy? People with grenades can just spam grenades into spawn, people can fire proxies, Biotics can set of explosions everywhere, people with Reegars (really can't emphasise how good this gun is anymore) can rip apart shields in seconds etc. Almost every class can be used.

The only hard part is finding people that understand "stand behind this yellow line at the start of every wave and/or follow me". It's like how some people camp outside on FBW and don't understand you when you say "camp inside". Trying to tell a random to "stand here at the start of every wave, run down these stairs and pretty much run a circle around the map/follow me" is like trying to teach them how to build a rocket ship.

It's been 12 hours I'm making another post.

So balance changes! Looks like Biowares finally getting the hang of how to balance things properly. They buffed the Missile Launcher on the Destroyer, it's actually worth the points now, and they made it so that Phantoms don't take almost no damage during cartwheels for some reason. They also made it so Sabotage doesn't have the longest cooldown out of every power (I mean 14 seconds was overkill), and they made the Phase Disruptor on the Slayer something other than completely useless. Incinerate, Carnage and Concussive Shot also got some massive buffs, which is great as they were always lacking a little bit anyway. As for weapons they buffed the Particle Rifle, for the damage it did it was too heavy, so they increased its damage to make it worth the weight but not be viable for classes that can't handle long cooldowns. Once it reaches full potential I think it's the strongest AR now.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------
July 24, 2012
---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Krysae Sniper Rifle
- Damage decreased from [476.0-595.0] to [429.0-548.0]
- Rate of fire decreased from [50] to [35]
- Recoil Increased from [5.0] to [10.0]
- Zoom Recoil Increased from [3.0] to [5.0]
- Total ammo dropped from [9-21] to [9-18]

N7 Typhoon
- Distance Penetration decreased from 100cm to 25cm

Cobra Missile Launcher
- Rate of fire decreased from 140 to 50
- Charge up behavior disabled to fix rocket glitch

- Fix for some uncommon gear not showing up in Spectre + Spectre Premium packs
- Increased XP bonus for common characters in Spectre + Spectre Premium from 62.5k to 250k XP
- Enemies in Gold and Platinum will stomp downed players now

Lol just kidding, they ***** the Krysae senseless with the nerf bat, nerfed the Typhoon, and buffed the enemies so they stomp on you in Gold and Platinum too.

But hey they might've fixed the Missile Glitch.

.... ****.

They nerfed the Typhoon, the gun I always wanted to try out. It literally destroyed things.

They just keep freakin' nerfing things. Should send mass emails to BW saying how stupid their balancing(?) team is.

Does this mean that rockets are going to be even harder to pull off in Plat?

At least the Typhoon nerf isn't too bad, it should be more or less unnoticeable, but the Krysae was only really good on FBW. No one used it on Glacier and I tried using it on Dagger, with my GI, after the first nerf and really it was lackluster. Also it was only good on Infiltrators, not it wont even be good on them.

But at least the missile glitch is fixed, as you can see from this guy failing to use it lol:

The Krysae nerf is dumb, but the typhoon nerf isn't that bad. I use an AP mod on every gun I use, so I'm sure that will more than cancel out the nerf. Hopefully that Missile nerf will actually fix the missile glitch.

The Typhoon nerf I won't notice since I don't even have the gun. The Krysae nerf sounds so stupid though. And I get them fixing the missile glitch, but I have NO IDEA why they slowed down the reload speed on the Missile Launcher so much.

But blah...they should really STOP buffing the enemies and, y'know, nerf some of THOSE a bit instead of nerfing our classes and weapons. How about "Banshee barriers -30%" or "Geth Prime volleys don't stagger" or "Decreased Brute Charge speed"?

Hunters, and I think maybe Primes, can't be staggered. If you stagger a Hunter with something, like say Singularity, he can still fire his weapon and stunlock you.

Stuff like that, and the Pyro's fire range reaching farther than it's animation, is why people point out the Geth for being cheaters as technically they're doing things which are supposed to be impossible.

Also Livewire they removed the charge up on missiles and made them fire instantly, not make them fire slower.

No I'm pretty sure the Widow does seeing as though it's a powerful single shot sniper.

Anyway because of the damage reduction to armour I never go into Golds or Platinums without an AP mod on. Once they fix the new mods, and release them in a patch, I'll be rocking my Typhoon (that I'll totally have by then) with the regular AP mod and the new AP mod.

The mantis was nerfed a while ago, it used to pierce only at level X, I unlocked that and a week later they took away the piercing

Very saddening

Are you sure? Because I went into Gold Monday night with a Widow V with the AP mod on (at level 3) and I'm 99% sure it was NOT piercing those shields... :urg:
