Was it for HOBO? I didn't go since I had (herp derp) responsibilities. And I pretty much stayed out of the scene to do college work and play Starcraft II.
I didn't even know HOBO was that weekend or even where HOBO takes place lol. I was with the pep band for the NCAA tournament. VCU got to the sweet 16 and they played in San Antonio. We played on a boat at the River Walk

I'm one of those people that hates change.. so I personally don't like it >.>

And plus, all the buttons are too big any who =/
We need change that we can believe in.

Nah, guys remember it's Dedede. There's not a whole LOT of Dedede's, and I don't think many people will pick him up just for the infinite because it only really effects Mid Tier, and lower characters...

However, that could be a reason for people to have a pocket main? I contradict myself to much.

Set your d-pad to attack and learn to mash. It doesn't legitimately work on Mario till 100%.

That's prolly why they didn't consider our case with the D3 infinite.

Lol...and Zeton beat Kprime...which was debatably one of the most broken infinites in the game.

So do I. btw Matador I need some help. What does a PS3 have over a 360?
Tough one...I personally decided to buy a PS3 over Xbox because I like the controller more for fighting games...and if you know me at all, you know I'm a fighting game junky.

The blueray player ain't shabby either.

Other than that, the differences are small. 360's controller is better for shooters to me, but PS3's are still good.

360's online is better (interface-wise. Not really less lag as far as I can tell) but costs money. PS3 may start charging soon too though, from what I understand...which could mean quality enhancement...and right now it's not bad at all.

360 has Kinect, which is awesome at parties n ****. PS3 has me. If u get PS3, we can MvC3!

I know Matt and Hero have PS3s as well. Bottom line: it's down to preference, imo. As far as I know, they're both quality systems and cater to the same general crowd (360 may aim a little more toward casual...) so either is a good choice.

Yes, Mario's not an excellent character in Super Smash Bros. Brawl (SSBB) for several reasons which should already (IMO) be known why. Reason(s) why several Mario mains are restating the obvious, complaining, & not putting in work still is beyond me. I've been competing in fighting games (mainly improving my overall skills) for a long while now, part of the problem why certain smashers (gamers) aren't satisfied with their performance I find to be not because of their character. The real reason behind their dissatisfaction is their overall understanding of the game (analyzing why certain moves work or don't work the way they do) in the game. Personally, I'm
(or at least, like to think of myself as)
a troubleshooter (competitor who analyzes & observes before, during, after game-play) regarding competitive gaming who also prefers not to be labeled (compared/contrasted). Mario's not at fault for your placement (dissatisfaction), it's yours...simply.

Yeah, choosing Mario is really your fault, but then again if you are choosing Mario then hopefully your satisfaction isn't coming from high tournament placings.

PS3 has a better controller for shooters IMO. Once you get used to holding it, it's better for semi-auto and burst fire. Sony won't start charging for online as long as they decide to keep PlayStation Plus. There are also a lot more annoying people on PSN that's for sure.

Mario isn't your worst choice. :/ I do pretty well with him sometimes. I just need a secondary to deal with MK/Falco. Or some ****ing Falco experience. Then a secondary to deal with MK.

Choosing Mario as a character in SSBB is part of it but clever decision making (in-game) more-so was my focus.

IMO, Xbox 360's controller is better for shooting games & PS3's controller is better for fighting games.

Reason(s) why:

1. Your left thumb grasps the control stick on the Xbox 360 controller (analog) more naturally then a PS3 controller.
2. The Directional Pad (d-pad) on the Xbox 360 controller (fighting games) is bad IMO due to the diagonal inserts as where the PS3 controller has none (simpler to whiff (attack or throw doesn't connect with opponent(s) (depending on game) when performed) special attacks with directional input commands).

Honestly, I'd recommend using an arcade stick, modifying it & then testing the button inputs for fighting games competitively speaking.

Customized arcade stick with Sanwa parts is like sex to your hands.

Other than that, I'm a 360 owner myself... I don't play it much other than with friends asks me to jump on. I'm currently playing(although seldomly) MvC3, SSF4, and CoD4/Black Ops.

Kanzaki, remove SSF4 and that's pretty much what I play.

Also, 360 controller is worse for fighting games, but why wouldn't you be using a stick anyway?

Oh, and Omari, we just like to complain :D

I'm actually perfectly fine using the 360 controller for fighters... just that the girlfriend bought me an Arcade Stick, so I decided to use that instead :]

Also it's due time I learned to adjust to a stick since we have some competitive arcades down here that I frequent..

Yea, what Matador says is pretty much what I have to say as well. Except what? PS3 is going to start charging money for online? No T_T!

And PS3 doesn't get Red Rings of Death :awesome:.

I don't have a spare arm and leg to buy a good arcade stick...so I just **** with a controller.

I use an arcade stick like a real man. A really cheap arcade stick, but still an arcade stick. ALSO, FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO PLAY MVC3 ON THE XBOX-360, ADD ME ON XBL:

@CoolWhip: You do know it's possible to play PlayStation (PS) games
(any game you can think of)
on your computer (or laptop), right? I'll help you out when I'm not busy.

Well the double disk reader on my wii is kinda ****ed up, but Nintendo takes care of that and I don't care as much because I don't live at home. I had an error on my 360 and it costed $100. Wtf
