Even over wifi you can't deny that Flame is wtfgood...

I recommend that everyone play him at one time or another. He makes really good decisions.

You think they're flukes until 5 matches later he's still consistently pulling this stuff off, lol.

Yeah, like I've been just saying in general, Flame's playstyle is the one that should be universally emulated by most Mario mains.

Like I wish there was a better way to explain how closely his playstyle follows theory fighter. Almost everything he does actually has a reason for working and being the optimal decision.

He just does things like...he D-smashes in between Falco's Jab cancels (Falco is -1 on hit for only landing Jab1). His SDI is REALLY good. His fireball spacing is some of the best I've seen. And he actually knows how to hit confirm Jabs and use guaranteed followups.

I thought I was the only one who knew that you could F-smash out of shield against Pikachu's D-smash. Until Volt_Storm_7 told me that Flameleon did the exact same back to him lmao.

I only put the "even on wifi" disclaimer on my posts cuz you get the troll responses if you don't.

I actually don't hate wifi. And yea, see me son...

Don't forget the K-Y this time either...:awesome:

Step up your attendance and performance and you might have a shot Matador.
Yeah, that's the only thing I'm worried about.

My entire application would hinge on how poorly Mario's represented back there.

It'd be more of a "Better to have me than what you currently have...kapeesh??" kinda thing.

What do you hope to achieve by joining the BBR?

:059:
Just some better Mario representation.

Our opinions seem more or less ignored back there...Pierce, while knowledgeable about the game, lacks understanding of things you can only pick up about Mario through actually playing him extensively. There's too many characters, playstyles, stage CPs, and scenarios to actually know how they work and how Mario can respond to them. He was also absent for the match-up discussion in the backroom, which left nearly all of our match-ups on the BBR chart up to the opposing side.

Pierce apologized for this and very likely had a legit reason for it, but we kinda can't afford to lose representation, especially since the only other person in there is Kirin.

From what Will was saying in the DK discussion, Kirin doesn't come to smashboards very often anymore (something I totally can't blame him for) so he can't represent us either. I haven't spoken to him about it or anything, but if he IS still active behind the scenes or something, then there's no problem at all. I trust his judgement wholeheartedly as far as Mario goes.

As it stands though, we simply need a voice. They still think G&W is a **** match-up and put PT -2 with a straight face...

G&W is definitely a pretty **** matchup. Not as **** as Falco though. I feel the same way about Marth.

You believe it's on the same level as Marth, D3 and MK?

Btw, I thought better of applying. Just remembered I'd have to debate with elitist high tier mains...that's NEVER fun for me...

Prolly the same reason Boss isn't back there already, lmfao

I'm curious why Marth is a bad match-up? Like I find it a slight disadvantage, but that's just me.
Of all top tiers I firmly believe Marth and Snake are still the easiest. Though I haven't fought Kadaj or MikeHaze or such but for Snake I've battled Bizkit, MVD, Ally, and many other Snakes and I firmly believe Snake is still one of the easiest to deal with.

And thanks Fire! For my nice pink name :D.

Finding good Marths is hard when everyone plays as him. That usually tends to be the reason why the MU is never represented correctly in practice.

I dunno what you're getting at.

I simply stated to the effect that Falco is harder than Marth and G&W, and that Marth and G&W are about the same difficulty.

Neither G&W or Marth really are the worst possible matchups for Mario to deal with, but overall they are pretty lame for Mario to deal with.

Falco is probably like overall similar in difficulty to D3. It's a stage dependant thing, but they both are too stupidly difficult for Mario to win against on the majority of stages.

Metaknight is just on another level of stupid. Almost everything that Mario would normally even consider using to his advantage just really doesn't work. You can't even CP him to Brinstar just because he's even more stupidly good on that stage than you are.
