Until you can get reliable evidence of what happened, you really shouldn't be giving them yellow cards to prove a point AZ. Its just wrong to only believe Keitaro's version of the story, this is indeed bias.
Regardless of any form of the story, (which I'm at least still trying to find out myself) we know that they split guaranteed.

I can see the issue with splitting, but rules that go back in time are just plain wrong when you decide to assign them to count at one spot and then not at the other(I want you guys to give a yellow card to everyone that split during this weekend otherwise in every tournament worldwide, and why not even do it for months and months before?). It seems to me like AZ/BBR-RC likes to cherry pick and then say "its a case by case review" when they clearly had no set up standard for everyone. That, is bias.

I don't approve of splitting(even when I do it, which is really rare, I know its wrong), but to arbitrarily chose to punish some people over others is wrong too. Two wrongs definitely don't make a right.
But they are the only ones who stated publicly that they split...
And isn't the yellow card just a warning, what's the big deal?

The BBR-RC rule set is the equivalent of jumping anywhere in Super Mario World and finding a invisible 1-Up block and then dying.

I haven't read this entire thread, but I'd like to point out how hilarious it is that the BBR-RC handing out the yellow cards (knowing full well how the receiving parties would act based on past experience) has allowed the issue to be blown completely out of proportion, drawing far more attention to the fact that the Brawl community splits and handles issues incredibly poorly. A "(split)" in a tournament results thread does far less damage than the tidal wave of nonsense you brought about.

Giving them a slap on the wrist and telling them "Don't split again" or "If you're going to split, you better make damn sure you do it quietly and under the table" was a far better idea, and I'm sure you knew it.

That's not to say that the offending parties aren't to blame as well. After more than one incident like this, you guys should have known either not to split, or to do it and not breathe a word of it. It's absolutely insane that you guys can't just play out a serious set so nobody calls you out on throwing it, then deal with the money independently at a different time without talking.

I said it once, and I'll say it again. If you're going to split, play it out and don't say a word to anybody. If you don't want to play out a set legitimately with pre-arranged financial outcomes, don't play the game. If you don't want to have your name under somebody else's in a results thread for an illegitimate, split loss, then don't split. If you can't keep quiet, grow up.

Edit: As a sidenote, I do not support splitting that is displayed publicly in any way, shape or form. Sandbagged matches, talking about it as a john for why you "lost," etc. It makes the community look bad because it shows a lack of competitive drive. I do, however, realize that splitting is going to happen no matter what kind of stupid colored cards you're going to give people for it. It can't be stopped, but it can be limited in a way that harms nobody.

ITT: One side argues point A and the other side argues point B, and no solid conclusion will come of it, because they are arguing two different points. (splitting and bracket manipulation).

qft.

There really shouldn't be any big deal. M2K, Anti, and ADHD were made examples of. That is all.

Giving them a slap on the wrist and telling them "Don't split again" or "If you're going to split, you better make damn sure you do it quietly and under the table" was a far better idea, and I'm sure you knew it.
BUT if they just said "hey guys, don't do it again." They'll do it and brag about it even louder next time. There needed to be some sort of repercussion for it sooner rather than later to show the smash community that the BBR-RC is serious about these issues. It's unfortunate that it had to happen to these 3 and that they feel that it's some sort of "pro bias" but it's really not bias at all. If i were to make it to that point in bracket and i split or manipulated the bracket, then I am confident that the BBR-RC would reprimand me for my actions, even though I am no "pro."

I commend you, AZ and the rest of the BBR-RC, for taking action on these issues. Just don't make a liar of me... punish ANYONE for splitting or manipulating the bracket, not just the "pros."

@ ADHD.. you feel that AZ is being so biased towards you. I wonder why that is. Perhaps it just so happens that you are always involved with whatever the "wrongdoings" are. Maybe you should stop involving yourself with situations that seem skeptical, and you wouldn't have received a virtually harmless yellow card.

@ anyone who gave me a shoutout.. Sorry i haven't responded yet, i've been super busy with graduation stuff. I'll be sure to leave you a personal shoutout in this thread, most likely tomorrow. Thanks!

I've been used as an example three times by him in scenarios that he could have reacted alot more casually.

I think it's safe to say that he dislikes me, and hates mew2king.

What's the best and fastest way to transfer 40-50GB from Philadelphia to DC when the person in Philadelphia has very slow internet?

Because it's all recorded in HD, I'm just waiting for a faster solution than chopping up the videos in 500MB parts and uploading it to Dropbox.

He actually gave it bad publicity by posting these ordeals all over the internet.

It was contained in this thread beforehand.
