I actually had a dream last night of K. Rool in Smash.
It was weird, for some reason he wasn't King, Kaptain, or even Baron.
He was just "K. Rool", and he looked like this

But with silver armor instead of gold, no feather, gems, or cape.

Actually, that was a fake debunk. The position of Mario's head in the "admitted fake" is vastly different in the leak. Therefore, that leak is still alive.

A while ago, I had a dream where I had gotten hold of a copy of the 3DS version of the game. The roster included King K.Rool, but I took my sweet time trying out every other character, saving the best for last (Wtf? In reality, I'd play as him ASAP).

When I finally selected K.Rool on the character selection screen all ready to go, I woke up.

A paladin. K. Rool was a paladin.

Which confused me since....paladins serve kings, and K. Rool is a king....

Again, I never said it was a Konquistador.
Just that the image is the closest thing I could find to how K. Rool looked in my dream, minus the gems, cape, and feather, and with silver armor instead of gold.

Is it me or does K. Rool look awesome in pretty much any gimmick? Another reason why the Kremlings will always be the best DK enemies.

My issue is, the roster wasn't having these issues in March when this leak came out. That's WAY too far into development for people to have been unsure of what the roster consists of like 25 months into development.

It's likely that late cuts have happened in Smash before; see Mewtwo and Roy (there's a theory suggesting that Sonic got in at the cost of both of them).

I would imagine that he would be one of the slowest characters in the game. Also very heavy, but less so than Bowser.

I imagine K.Rool heavier than Bowser, easily. Donkey Kong himself already rivals Bowser's weight. And K.Rool is several weight classes above Donkey Kong. It's easy logic that K.Rool should be the heaviest character in the game, unless say, Beast Ganon makes it in. He might not be as brutishly strong as Bowser however. Not that weight should matter with that most, cause Ganondorf and Ike are lighter yet stronger than DK and Bowser.

I can see King K. Rool be heavier than Donkey Kong, but lighter than Bowser. I say that his power would depend on if he is going to be a physical fighter if he uses a weapon. He is definitely going to be a heavy hitter, however.

Rool the distinction of being the new heaviest. It'd be another way to set him apart from the pack, and would also give a reality check to the people who consider Bowser the ultimate barometer for Smash heavyweightery...as in, no one can possibly(*) be heavier than Bowser, let alone bigger than him.

* = For the same "reason" Pokemon characters cannot possibly occupy a single space more than Mario characters on the CSS.

I think one of the more promising things for K. Rool's likelihood is the fact that of all the newcomers we don't have a heavyweight yet. And of the Gematsu leak, none of them seem like they would be heavyweights either. A new Smash game without a heavyweight has never happened before. Sooooooooo, K. Rool?

I could imagine the Kremlings returning to DK Island and setting up base in the Golden Temple, to mirror the Spanish capture of Tenochtitlan and the legends of El Dorado, the city of gold. Kremlings would take on personas reminiscent of conquistadores and Aztec knights.
