Anyone who wants MK banned doesnt know their match up, has only played an MK that was just a better player, or plays a stupid character that has 38 specific match ups to learn. there is always a god tier character or tactic in every game, and it even changes as the game evolves, and it's what everything else in the meta game is built around. It's really silly to even argue about it anymore, preferences aside this **** is objective yo. noobins recognize.

Are you serious? All I meant to say was that I think a community would be better with a diverse cast of characters rather than a huge chunk of it being Meta Knights. There certainly won't be more matchup exposure in a small community compared to a larger one with more Meta Knights.

And for those who don't know, I'm actually making an attempt to learn the matchup despite it being heavily against me. I certainly didn't mention that we should ban him. Sure, playing MK is the smart choice but if a MK beat a player like me, I wouldn't exactly call it much of an accomplishment.

I'm not sure why words are being put in my mouth. I also don't like the condescension I've been seeing lately.

I'm not liking the negativity in this thread. If this is what I have to endure from now on then I really don't want to be a part of it. Sure, some of it has come from me but day by day, I feel less of a part of this community. Considering how much effort I've put into it (in game and out), I am starting to feel regret for everything I have done thus far. I'm starting to think my presence and any contribution I might ever make is unwanted.

I don't know what has been said in the forms.. but in real life I have appreciated what you have done for the few times that I met you. Your a real good guy man. I don't know what's wrong with some people if they have bothered you in real life. But what your doing should be appreciated for sure.

And for what it's worth, Peach guy, it's because of hard working people like you that we find game breaking mechanics and new exciting ways to change the game to better suit our needs. the biggest discoveries come from the least expected places. remember that it's that brand of stick-to-it-iveness that took ice climbers from a comedy option to second best and it's that same stubborn love that will reward you deeply when you finally get that matchup down or master a new tech. but if you're going to get salty over it, pick a new toon, because you're only stressing yourself out.

I think given the number of new attendees, we should have an event that is more inclusive. So crews are out, and I'm also kinda thinking we SHOULDN'T do low tiers since I believe most/all of Ben's friends have not played any characters outside of MK and marth.

That said, I really like the doubles idea we were tossing around a while ago where high seeds are randomly paired with low seeds. I think an good way to structure that while still providing some randomness would be to place people from the top quarter randomly with people from the bottom quarter, and people from the upper middle quarter with people from the lower middle quarter. It provides some level of fairness while not just being "1st teams with last, 2nd teams with second to last ..."

ohkay i'll go there too! I'm gonna go looking for cellpohone stores too, they might have pikachu charms or something. Vending machines too. I think I've even seen pikachu stylus' with a pikachu at the top.
