So I apologize, but I've gotta ask:
Are BigD/BlueYoshi/KKOrange going to be the only ones coming to PMP2 on Sept 1st? It'd be great to have some more brawl representation in the PM tournament :p

Thread is here

@Jason
He changed his name because that's his starcraft2 alias. He doesn't use aPrune anymore.

So... I found out that by doing weightlifting, I can actually eat all the food I want (within reason). This sounds completely amazing and I'd be on board except for two problems:

1) I have no friends that go to a/my gym, and I really don't have the faintest idea on how to properly do weights. I still feel uneasy even after reading a bunch of stuff.

2) I'm way too shy to ask somebody for help. Apparently, I'll need a spotter but I don't know how I'm going to get one...

What do I do? Why do I feel so anti-social when I'd be comfortable in most other situations? :(

My gym is in Coquitlam, sigh. It's $15 a month though which is great.

Also, going on the treadmill still doesn't let you eat unlimited food :(

Smashfest soon?

But you're never online when I seem to be :(

Mike and I will be doing random stuff tomorrow which includes food and Brawl. Anybody want to come? I guess we'll make plans depending on who can come.

Sigh at your location... are you really thinking about coming? We'll definitely have to do something special if you do come.

whoa a gym that is only $15 per month? That's great :O

also with regards to mirror shield, does it always work against stage hazards or does it sometimes fail there too for seemingly no reason?

You should go with me Landon. It's on Lougheed. It's maybe 10 mins further down from Home Video! Although Steve Nash dropped his gyms to $19 due to the sudden burst in competition...

Jake is definitely dropping Yoshi
Old gen is better than new gen. If we were to make a all-time PR, basically everyone on it would be from old gen. Dawson would be the only new gen.

Seriously, we had Brian, Bryan, Jake, Ben, Clouderz, Eric (BO10), Smash Mash, Deap, me, Kyle (Grimice), Mitch (Defender), Trevor (Karupin), Ty (Terodactyl Yelnats, Ganon), Jaz (42_, never went to mainland, but would have easily been top 2-3 of the PR at the time pre-Clouderz), among several others. People put in no particular order (I put mainland first then island). The only new gen imo who could be on par or beat most of these people is Dawson.

Oh, and we had more than 12 people at every tournament.

STEP IT UP NEW GEN!!!

half trolling, three quarters serious post. Yes, Dawson, I know exactly what you are going to say, and say what you want, but he was notable back then, and still is now when he does show up

Well get them to come too. They should all come meet the new generation, maybe not for that but I want to play these people, makes me wish I would have joined sooner.

I reread your post and know exactly who you are referring to.

And also get the shaft Landon/Jason lol.

Why did I associate myself with people I can't relate with that are also way younger than I am? >_>
Try being me.

I'm unable to associate with most people.

E.G. >90% of them.

also with regards to mirror shield, does it always work against stage hazards or does it sometimes fail there too for seemingly no reason?
Pretty sure it always works.

Except maybe against Halberds Bomb.

Within BC somewhere
Beating Ty and Defender in bracket/mm were the greatest achievements of my Brawl career thus far.

Also; the hell, Rob. I am super old gen too =[ I was there.

@Dawson
Even if those people showed up, they'd suck now since none of them still play.

Rob I wholeheartedly disagree with your post. Not even just because I'm not on it, but because comparisons between past players and present players are impossible and should not be made. People are constantly improving over time, and when they don't play for 2 years everybody else surpasses them. I guarantee you that there are more players than just dawson who could beat a significant number of old gen players in their primes. But there's no way to prove it, because time machines don't exist and we can't have a match between somebody now, against somebody from two years ago.

The entire brawl scene of the world as a whole has been constantly improving, which includes us here in BC. Maybe, compared to the world scene of 2012 we're not as good as the 'old gen' was compared to the world scene of 2010, but our players now will have almost definitely improved beyond what the old gen was capable of in 2010. Like I said though that comparison is all hypothetical and cannot be proven one way or another.

There's a reason for that and it's quite simple actually.

I dun goofed.

Edit: NINJA'D

It was for T-Block btw.

ICs did not even exist in 2010.
