I work on Saturdays as well. You don't need to come to the venue right on time. I don't get there until 5:00 pm!

but there's venue fee and i think Fridays are super busy, also not sure what their take on Smashfests are



If i could just get my buddies TV we could be have smashfests regularly at my place with the dopest set-up

he isn't sure if i can have it yet (not his) but i'll try finding out asap

They very much want us to have smashfests there if we can. You are right about Fridays though; they have Magic from 7pm onwards, and it's usually pretty busy.

So here is my situation right now.

At my school we have this thing called tree lot. We sell Christmas trees to raise money for our school.

This is my third year and I have some shifts scheduled for 9:00 - 1:00, however, I can trade shifts, since I would like to make it for doubles.

As far as housing both you and Rob, my parents wouldn't mind, it's just a matter of basketball.My schedule is quite hectic, so I may have basketball but I don't see it interfering.

You can pretty much confirm me for this tourney.

Arcansi, you're fun to hang out with irl and everything, and I enjoy hanging out with you and smashing with you. But once smashboards arguments comes into play, half your posts make absolutely no sense. It goes beyond an annoyance and, to me, it sometimes gets really frustrating reading your posts. I'm sure you and everyone has noticed I've heavily reduced my posting here, and it's because I don't feel like getting involved in these posts. Basically, my point is you're really nice and fun to hang out with irl, but as far as arguments go, maybe slow down on them a bit. I'm not saying you should stop posting or stop arguing entirely, but... just, pick your battles. Some arguments you start, me, and probably everyone else, wonders where you are even going with it.

I understand this, but I don't understand why... My posts are mostly all very logical, and I'm not the one trolling or anything, so...?

If you don't understand where I'm going with something, ask? I don't know, I usually think it's pretty obvious what I want done, but I could be wrong.

For example, I could argue again about why mainlanders never come to the island and islanders have to pay so much just to play decent competition, and rant on that again, but instead, all I do instead is post when the island is hosting tournaments, and occasionally a couple come down and play. Ranting all day would just turn everyone off, and probably make nobody except people coming down for melee show up, but instead, just posting the occasional tournament is resulting in more attendance from mainlanders.

I understand what your saying. I only kinda understand how it applies to me, and all I can think of is the pictochat thing.

Bottom line is, sometimes arguments hurt you more than help you. Just pick your battles. If you think an argument would have more results, then go for it. But think twice before you do, or you might just alienate people into going against you. There are several arguments you have done where people were actually on your side, but you annoyed them so much that even they started posting against you.

Those people are just stupid, like by definition. I'm not trying to be mean to anyone but...seriously? It's these type of people that make me hate society.

I love reading arcansi arguements for entertainment purposes. Arcansi, can you not just believe Alphicans seeing as he is a BBR member, third be GW and has so much more experience...enough that you can simply believe that what he says is true.
I see this arguement as me, a basketball player for 6 years going up to Michael Jordan and arguing basketball telling him he is wrong and such. If I was Jordan I'd be offended and find that rude and get angry.
Stupid analogy, and much more extreme but I think it's the same concept

And if I was a professional brawl player and someone came up to me and told me I was doing things wrong, I would listen.

There are two reasons for this.

1: I don't know hes wrong unless I can prove him wrong, and I am in no way perfect.

2: He obviously truly believes I am wrong if he is telling me this, and this makes it all the more likely I am.

Reminds me of when I was talking to Felix at the tournament. He seemed like a really cool guy, mostly because I actually felt like he was listening to me as a person, not thinking he was better then me because he placed higher, or anything like that.

Not to mention that what he says is commonish knowledge and most people would agree with him.

It's commonish knowledge without a true logical base.

This isn't math, we didn't create the rules and definitions as a community, they were created for us and we had to decide what to do with them and the product we were given.

That was quite poetic. Now let me inform you, continue to argue practically non-stop and your enjoyment to be around will decrease. Sorry to say it, but thats how it goes. Feel free to argue, but people will start to not listen, and you'll only be making things worse for yourself. Go argue in the proper thread.
Don't argue what I said, because that is fact for a lot of people. This isn't the time or place to argue heavily that Olimar can not be gimped at 0% or what ever your trying to prove.

This is very easily the place for talking about smash with people in my area, social interactions, etc.

I don't argue practically non-stop, it's just all I post because I don't engage in small talk and you guys don't talk strategy or much of anything but here.

I'm attempting to understand why what you say is true. (note that it's unarguable in that it's opinionated)

I'm just not getting any responses. I cannot understand what people do not want to tell me.

They just want me to believe there is light where they say it is.

NOTE: Most of my arguing has a good ending anyway. Maybe Karma exists.

(The Story: I once argued that all-girls events were extremely sexist for LoL (tournaments and junk). Now I find out all the girls don't even have the integrity to keep their teams free from high-level male players playing on their accounts. This wasn't even an issue when I argued about it, and yet I was right the whole time.)

Yeah, the only problem that may be a concern is the Telus Classic(HSBC).

If we end up beating Kelowna (#1 seed), then I will not be able to make the tournament.

We play Kelowna on the 8th at 1:45.

I could still house probably, just won't be able to go.
