*watches the first matches of the first two new Ixis vids*

Geez, was he half asleep or something? Don't get me wrong KJ, it's not like I'm expecting him to mop the floor with you or something, but I just had to shake my head constantly as I watched and cringed. I kept thinking: why did he do that? Why didn't he do this? Most notably it seems he forgot that Bowser has a normal grab, not just the special one.

Mind you, when he did things right, he did them beautifully, especially in the first game of the third vid. But still, so many things he could have done different. Like Bowser Bomb to the ledge, where was that?

*watches second game of the third vid*

There we go, that was much cleaner.

*game three*

Opportunity knocked, but Ixis didn't answer the door a couple times. That will cost you.

*...*

Eh. I know I haven't seen, like, half of the vids, but just from the ones that I saw I think I can pretty well gage how they turn out. I think he needs to slow down a bit or something. Maybe try playing a different character. Variety is the spice of life and it might be a good idea to 'know thy enemy' to kinda help with decision making and whatnot. Maybe take a break and come back to Bowser with a fresh perspective. I don't know.

Haha it's cool. I do agree with you on some points, and I should add that while we were playing we were laughing so hard it was getting hideously difficult to concentrate. I think his ledge game can use some work. He had plenty of opportunities to ftilt me or bair but never took the openings.

Yeah KJ you can add the ditto up there, no one would really care.

Because all of the big tournaments/the one New York tournament that I actually could have made is/are during my school period (FMFL)
I'm uploading a large bulk of WiFi matches I had against a friend of mine. I think it was around 3 AM that we were playing, and I was tired as hell so I wasn't really top notch. Although through the majority of the matches I seemed to be kinda dominating, he is a really skilled Link, with a few player issues he needs to work out, but I already spoke to him about that. Him and I had a really long Bowser vs Link MU convo, and...I don't think I saved it, but if I did I'll post it on the MU thread.

My grab releasing is garbs on this **** lmao.

I think it's like 15 matches or something like that, I'll post them all when I'm done recording etc. so far I have 8 and they're on YT.

Oh, pfft, what were you laughing about? You're Brits, so I can only assume it was Benny Hill, right? XP

As for myself, if you ever EVER see me play it will obviously be while I'm drunk.

sigh...17 games against my good friend, an MD/VA Link on wifi.

probably would have been better to have played Kirin instead, but I couldn't get myself to anything over this break, so I spent a night doing this/playing him.

games were played at like 4AM, so on top of my grab releasing not being top notch, I also wasn't fully awake, nor was he...there are a few SDs in that whole set, but then again it is Link, lmao. I think half of the matches are high % 2 stocks, but pick your poison to watch. I guess I start to lose my edge/he picks up the slack towards the end matches, idk.

critique if you'd like, the way i use bowser on wifi isn't exactly the same offline though lol.

I need to stop airdodge > utilt'ing all the damn time though...lol I feel as though it seems to obvious when I go for UpTilts, I think that's the one thing I do offline as well.

and yeah, it was confirmed, Redemption was moved to 2/25, so I don't have anything I can make it to....AGAIN. **** school.

im gonna start goin to *****s houses now, **** being inactive because of school/no tournaments. i can't deal with this, and i can't wait one more year. lol

you need to stop airdodging vs a snake and just klaw down as you're falling.

if he's cooking a grenade/anything, even if he's remotely close to you, you'll grab him, and it's better/safer than the klaw because of the output you get (snake's in the air/offstage, you damage him and can do w/e now etc)

If you wanna Klaw Hop, change up its trajectory more. You usually just Klaw Hopped in place as opposed to Klaw Hopping forward or backward.

If Snake likes to ftilt, either shield the first hit so you can GR him or just fsmash him.

To add to that, I think you should roll and spot dodge more. Remember that Bowser has a lot in common with Lucario, DeDeDe, ROB, and Ganondorf. :p

But yeah, make better use of Klaw and shield. You pretty much need to just forget Bowser has a roll and spot dodge, you'll be better off. Nice DI near the end at that one part. I can't get the exact time at the moment as YouTube seems to have died. :/

Got a few videos recorded at tonight's fest, including a super hype super clutch match against my Olimar buddy.

Should be up in a few days tops.

I'm also working on a sexy combo video on my new HP workstation.

some videos from the tournament kingkong and i were at yesterday (pharoah's judgment):

-near the end of part 1, there are tournament sets of me vs tin man (olimar), me vs patches (g&w), and then a bunch of friendly games vs sauc3 (mk)
-like 20 mins into part 2 of the stream is kingkong vs gichan (wario), and unfortunately i think this is the only tourney set kingkong played on the livestream :(

the video gets choppy and there were sets of both of us recorded on other stations im pretty sure so ill make a post again once theyre uploaded to youtube

I'll definitely check those out when I have the time. Do you have any new insight on the MK matchup?

Castle Siege is so good for Bowser.

I'm glad to hear both you and KK did so well!

The quality is pretty bad but I've started watching. Olimar does seem like one of Bowser's hardest matchups. He doesn't even have to try to hit Bowser lol. Charizard seems pretty bad at the matchup too.

You barely used FTilt at all VS Patches, is aerial klaw really that much better in the matchup (honest question)? Nice suicide finishers.

he kept trying to come in with bairs so i was just stepping out of the bair range and jumping in with klaw, and it was working

looking back i definitely didnt use ftilt enough though i agree

yeah, ftilt trades with BAir, and if you're not sure FTilt is fast enough you could just jab after BAir is done or something..

idk where sharkboy is at but he needs to update this thread..lol

youtube stalking led to me finding more kingkong videos, he had a mm vs a falco:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5tU_nYd0nzE
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HY-9GFVtEVE

you guys can watch it for yourself, but i was annoyed at the lack of aerial klaw usage, especially when the Falco was on one of the BF platforms. he kept on using BAir instead of using the move that disregards and jumps over shielding or whatever the opponent wants to do on a platform.

during the first game i kept saying "where's the aerial klaw at", but he did fairly decently, and then the second match was..something else. lol

Yeah, I saw that set last week. Didn't seem like KK punished Falco offstage enough.

Wow, is that really KingKong playing? If it didn't have the tag I never would have guessed. Has he shirked training or something?

it's hard to critique on counterpicks, and the zss didn't really seem that good, but when she whiffs grabs like that, you can just fsmash her or something, the lag is that bad. i learned that from playing sfp, i would always rush in and grab but it took me a while to realize how heinous it is for a zsuit to miss a grab.

just powershield side bs. i mean, it's easier said than done and if you arent within grab range when you ps/psc a downsmash or jab will probably follow, but otherwise you should be fine.

rolling is still bad. but at least you don't spotdodge a lot with him, that would be worse lol.

I have a bad habit of uploading videos where I accidentally input rolls, haha.

Thanks for the advice, Limit--I'm sure I'll get the MU down better.

Oh come now, it wasn't that bad, was it? Sure, there were BAirs when he should have Klawed and DAirs when he should have... done anything else, really and he could have done more to keep Falco off stage, but for the most part, I thought he did... okay.

It just felt really wrong, even without pinpointing stuff. What's funny is from previous videos I used to think KingKong klawed too much, but that it worked out for him because his opponents weren't that efficient at stopping it.
