Lawl, people are over thinking this.

Jigglypuff has 5 jumps. Just get close to them and hit them. You can get high enough that nobody can hit you with a projectile, and dair has good range.

Jiggs isn't as horrible as we say, just extremely situational.

Pound is a terrible approach and is pretty dangerous if the opponent can you know... attack OoS. Not enough range really, the move should be used pretty much for outprioritizing an approaching opponent, recovering, and punishing. Pound just has too much end lag to be an approach.

It's terrible as an approach. Just jump at them with your 5 jumps and dodge their ****. Jigglypuff has great aerial mobility, use it.

While pound may not be puff's best approaching option it has it's uses for approaching (mainly against those who play aggressive-defensive). Removing pound as an approaching option just reduces your options. Simply having it as a viable option makes it useful for mindgaming.

At the end of the day, Jigglypuff is an inferior version of Wario. Wario has Jigglypuff's aerial prowess, great recovery, gimping power and slippery-ness (which probably isn't a word), but as well as that he has:

- More reliable kill moves and kill move set-ups.

- Much more survivability due to his weight.

- A ground game that's actually usable.

- Projectiles (sort of)


What advantages does Jigglypuff have over Wario? She doesn't get wrecked by grab releases, but since both of them are very hard to grab anyway that doesn't make much difference. Other than that... er...

If you're playing solely to win, there's no reason to use Jigglypuff over Wario. That's why she has such little rep; anyone who could potentially use her really well is using Wario instead.

Fart is the new rest. Fart has a considerably larger hit box, zero ending lag, kills at lower percentages, and can be used to recover. Even though it needs to charge, in reality rest is used only a few times during a match anyways.

But at least rest isn't gross.

basically the only difference would be rest kills heavies(snake, d3 etc) at like, 20-30 and everyone else below that(melee-style)

im not saying its good, but it has it's uses. And yes. it's hitbox is abysmal. Disgusting even.

Adorable flirting aside, I use Fsmash rarely. If I'm going for a drill Rest and dair fails to trip, I'll move to one side, fsmash, and prepare to powershield an attack if I miss. I'll also Fsmash opponents with predictable ledge play (i.e. always rolling back on stage).
